Born as Lee Seunghyun with the name changed to Seungri (also known as V.I. or Victory) later in his years, he started out as all those within the Superficial District do; as an Ugly. Unable to remember the faces or voices or any other distinguishing feature or his parents, he chooses not to worry about them, as he figures that worrying about something you cannot change is utterly useless... And particularly uninteresting. Soon before his first birthday, he was sent to the dorms to live with other Uglies of his age and gender, undergoing the same ritual so many others had in their childhoods.
As a child, Seungri was quite happy, cheerful even, a trait which offset that of his roommate, Donghae. Where Seungri would actively smile at everyone and giggle as most little children do, Donghae would merely watch, face sullen and silent. Despite the differences between the two and the antagonization brought on by other children for Seungri's energy and Donghae's demeanor respectively, they soon became friends, defending each other from the insults and name-calling. However, Donghae had a tendency to take insults critically, often slipping into dark depression that Seungri would bring him back out of with praise and sincere comfort. But he worried for Donghae, and thus made it a priority to protect his friend from the taunting, always watchful. As for Seungri herself, he took these insults in stride; pushing away all of these insults as merely nothing to worry about. His bright personality coupled with his protective nature was the first tip-off to the caretakers that she may be less likely than the other children to succumb to their Pretty ways.
When Seungri grew a little older, at the age that the caretakers would let the children roam the various dorms and rooms, messing with whatever happened to catch their eyes, he came across a room that had a couple of shelves with tablets, the out-dated software the only thing that Uglies were allowed to read. Curious as to what they were, he took one off of the shelf and opened it, eyes scanning the screen. That first tablet that Seungri had picked up was one about history, describing the old Earth, before the nuclear winter, before society was moved to the Moon. It depicted the culture, the geography, technology, and more. The sudden onslaught of knowledge was addicting and he soon finished his first document, his interest and curiousity peaked. He began to dream about what it would have been like on Earth, with 'sky clouds' and 'oceans' and other sorts of attributes. Because of his new-found thirst for knowledge, he started questioning the caretakers about this or that item, or why someone would do something else.
Eventually, he asked two questions that alerted the caretakers to keep a close eye on him until he became Pretty:
“How come no one has tried to go back to Earth?”
“Why can I see sound while the others can't?”
With the latter question, Seungri found out that he had chromesthesia, the ability to 'see' music or sounds as color. This led to a slight interest in experimenting with music for a little while, if only to distract himself from Donghae's growing depression or to listen to while reading.
Several days before his 16th birthday and his Pretty operation, Seungri walked back to his dorm room to find the lifeless body of Donghae laying on his bed... Or what seemed to be his body on his bed. It seemed to him that Donghae had succumb to his depression, choosing to end his life rather than wait a few months for his Pretty transformation. Seungri screamed in shock and denial, alerting the caretakers. He was injected with a tranquilizer and when he awoke the next morning, all traces of Donghae were gone, as if he had never existed. This put Seungri in a distraught state of mind, his bubbly demeanor gone and he refused to do anything, choosing instead to sit on the bed that had once held his only friend.
Soon enough, his Pretty operation came around and once he was completely healed, bright, and handsome, Donghae no longer existed.
Seungri lived life as a Pretty was supposed to; constant parties, drinking, dancing, repeat. And he enjoyed it, as he was able to have many 'friends', his sweet, bubbly personality and unusual appearance attracting potential lovers and racking up enough credits to ensure that he would become a Hologram after death. Not to mention that while dancing, the music in the clubs made his chromesthesia go haywire. But unlike many of the Pretties, he became bored with the partying lifestyle at 19 years old, choosing to stay inside his Pretty home and find something that would satiate the ever-growing feeling of emptiness in his mind. He soon started talking to Holograms, asking them about various topics, eventually asking about the Uglies (which he could not remember much of) and about Earth. These questions alerted the system, causing the arrival of Specials, and with them, his imminent death. His questions were too clear, too lucid for a Pretty and for awhile, he was considered for the Special's operation. However, the higher-ups decided against it, as he was already more lucid than a Pretty should ever be and it was feared that if he were to become a Special, he may break from their hold as well.
Thus, Seungri was terminated and she became a Hologram, once more regaining his curiousity, his cheerfulness, and his memories. Though pained at first, Seungri soon became accustomed to his Hologram visage and was absolutely delighted over all of the new information available to him, but no matter how hard he tried, Seungri always found himself looking back at the memories of his childhood friend, and inevitably, blaming himself. But he continued to distract himself with the knowledge afforded to him, looking up all of the information about Earth that he could find and dreaming up what it may have been like beforehand. He especially enjoyed the memories of the Intelligence Consultant as they afforded him pictures of the old Earth. And despite his smiles and laughter and love of dancing, his pushed back self-blame and regret generated another aspect of his personality; one that was dark, manic, and manipulative.

It wasn't just the accumulation of regret over the years that made Seungri so... Splitted. It was the fact that Donghae had never died. It was all a hoax, a faked act so that he could be brought to become one of the Committee and even worse, the Ace Specialist, thanks to the fact that his friend was so obedient and serious as a child. With Donghae a being like this, what sort of chance would future Uglies have to explore their hidden questions as Seungri had? Almost none, and thus... A different side of Seungri was formed as the infamous hacker/prankster against the Committee whose wily ways and notorious actions always led to his "victory" against the oppressors of the society.
Several years passed and Seungri became an information powerhouse, mildly popular with the Hologram, Cyborg, and Pretty crowds for his cheerful and helpful assistance and his dancing. Though he currently remains a Stationary Hologram, Seungri has been debating whether to become a Free-Lance Hologram, in order to better converse with others in 3D and allow himself more mobility, something that would definitely come in handy. Especially for an impossible plan he has dreamed up...

Seungri's chromesthesia makes him somewhat unique in the Hologram community, but this is not his specialty; Seungri is actually an extremely talented Hacker, this ability allowing him access to much of the information about Earth. Other than that, he is usually used as some sort of search engine, finding information for others and occasionally just acting as company.
