Baekhyun had always thought his placement as a sidekick when he went to school was very well-placed. He came from a family of strength based heroes, so when his power of emotion manipulation came to be, there was quite a bit of disappointment littering family events. It was always the whispered question of "what can you do with that" as his family's mindset was that if it wasn't physical, your power was practically useless.

He later learned that his family was just closed-minded and couldn't comprehend just how much power lied in being able to control and manipulate emotions. When he was younger, Baekhyun suffered from constant migraines as he unwillingly felt the emotions of all those around him. It took many trips to the hospital before he was sent to a specialist that worked with kids that developed mental powers.

He went through a lot of taxing mental therapy as a kid, but it made it easier for him to merge into the academy when he was a student there. The emotions of those around him were easier to ignore now, and he could pick and choose what he wanted to feel when conversing with people. It made him an ideal friend and companion because he had the ability to empathize so well with those he talked to. Although, a downside was that he wasn't nearly as in tune with his own emotions while he focused on the emotions of others. Into his adult life, Baekhyun went into teaching at the academy rather than fighting crime like the rest of his graduating class. He felt he was doing a greater justice with helping younger heroes and sidekicks controlling their emotions so they can control their powers better.

Personality / Quirks

personality junk There's not a lot to Baekhyun's personality. When he was younger, he used to be a bright and sunny boy, often goofing off, but as his powers developed, he became more timid and antisocial. Now into his adulthood, he really is more robotic than anything, his therapy having destroyed his own ability to feel emotions. He relies on the emotions of others to go about his day.

Likes Strawberries, oranges, really any fruits, sweets, soft things, baby animals, like idk he's just really soft, the sounds of pencils on paper, helping people with their emotions, being able to feel even the slightest bit.

Dislikes Storms, specifically thunder, the sound of nails on a chalkboard, taking medications even though he has to, his inability to feel, people taking their emotions out on other, people who believe that mental powers are lesser than physical powers.

Hobbies Stargazing, writing prose of imagery, reading poetry, anything involving the peaceful things in life, gardening.

Fears Completely losing his ability to feel and connect with others, being left on his own, storms.

ONE. Hello lovelies! Thanks for reading this far into my profile, because wow I'm actually filling it in? Anyway, you can either call me Ren, my username, or my characters' names! I'll respond to all of them.

TWO. My timezone is gmt -6 and I'm a full-time college student that will soon have two jobs, so I may be slow to replies.

THREE. I prefer 3rd pov, novella style because damn creativity isn't dead and I want to actually write.
