He'd had a fairly standard childhood, raised by parents who did their best, and dealing with two younger siblings who he both doted upon and bullied mercilessly.

It wasn't until he got to college that he realised his passion for infliction pain on things, and that's how he ended up pursuing a career as a surgeon.

By the age of 24 he was exceeded expectations and was close to being one of the best at the time. On top of this he was happily engaged to a young woman named Minseo. He was outgoing and popular, with a wide circle of friends that he spent every minute of his life with. His life was exactly what he'd always wanted until one night took everything away from him.

Him, his fiance, and four of his friends had been to a concert and were driving back home. There weren't enough seats in the car and so Joonyoung had his fiance sat on his lap. They were young and reckless, and when the driver suggested seeing how fast they could get, Joonyoung cheered him on. The driver last control and the car veered off the road, crashing into a hotel at the side of the road. The driver and Joonyoung's fiance died on impact, both thrown clear of the car. The other two were severely injured and one died in the car next to Joonyoung, while the other died a couple of days later in intensive care.

Joonyoung had been half thrown from the car, one hand removed and the other barely hanging on. He broke several ribs and both legs, and was left comatose for weeks.

His hands were successfully replanted by a surgeon at the hospital, though he'd be left scarred from that night, both physically and mentally, the shaking in his hands never allowing him to forget.

Soon after he changed his study, going down the route of psychiatry, though he was bitter and no longer passionate about his life.

Three years ago he was offered the job at Eternity Glades where they helped him complete his studies, and now he is still there, enjoying the fact that the crazy people there can't tell anyone what their psychiatrist is truly like.
