Forgive and forget. That was Something he had wanted to do shortly after his mother died when he was just four. He wanted to come to terms with losing the one person who truly cared for him and needed. The one person he could call out to when he wanted help. She was gone and it was because of the disease called cancer. He had moved from his home in Sacramento to Beijing to live with his father who disowned him just three years prior and that’s when things changed for the worst. He was abused by his father both physically and ually and he didn’t have the strength to stand up for himself. No one helped him when he needed it the most. Slowly he withdrew himself from the world, easily hiding his feelings for people and become an empty shell. What the people didn’t know about him was that he is a schizophrenic. Underneath the quiet boy was someone who heard voices in his head. He was on heavy medication for it and hated taking. It didn't help him. That just made him feel sick and unwilling to do anything. No one understood how he felt. He was all alone. He had no one to take care of him except for a butler. Despite all the bad things aimed at him, he taught himself how to play different interments like the violin, guitar and cello. He also taught himself how to sing, dance and compose songs.
Despite having schizophrenia, J.G was able to joined Valor Empire when he was just ten years old and was known as a genius by his vocal trainers. He was able to make his debut in a six member boy group called aftermath just six months later as the main vocalist, visual and composer. Naturally, he stayed away from five of the six members when he could. He was usually seen by himself or with the other member and he wasn’t the most popular member of the group, always being in last place during the rankings, but it didn’t bother him. He was very content just being on stage, singing and being away from home. The boy group lasted for at least ten years before the company decided to disband them before going bankrupt the next due to tons of debt from gambling and people slowly stopped supporting all the groups and soloists that had been signed to the company. J.G left and was mad at the former CEO. He grew tired of not being able to sing on stage like he once did before so he decided to leave Taiwan for Seoul and went to look for a new company, any company, to join. No one wanted him in their company and was shot down from every single one without an audition when they saw him walk into the room. He soon moved to Bhutan after decided that Taiwan no longer wanted him there. After moving there, he composed songs for artists all in South Korea and went under his Korean name, Ko Ganyeong. two years later, he left for China after getting a call that his older brother had passed away and was to take care of nieces he never knew of.
A month later, he was scouted into Zeta Entertainment but he declined the offer at first. Even though he wanted to be an idol again, he was surprised that some large company wanted him to join. At first, he wanted to decline completely. He didn't know a single thing about the company and looked into it after he got the offer from the scout. It took him a week to accept the offer and he joined as a soloist, taking both of his nieces with him.
People are quick to judge him. He is known to be aloof and enigmatic while being polished with his work. He is blind in his right eye and is has been that way since he was nine after an accident that almost cost him his life. J.G doesn’t care about what people think of him at all. It never bothered him. All he cares about is music. It always been an outlet for him. It was the only way that he could express himself. Even though there are a few times when he has a glimmer of emotions in his eyes though showing any kind of emotion was, and still is, very difficult for him. Music was the one thing that helped shape him into the person he is but being an idol wasn’t he dream. Music is the only way he could express himself freely. He didn’t have many friends growing up. He poured all of his energy into his music and doesn’t go out as much as he should. He enjoys singing and will sing no matter where he is, when he feels like it.
