The leader of the Specials, the Ace Specialist is one who has surpassed all expectations set for Specials. This by itself is quite impossible to do, leading to the fact that only one Special can be the Ace Specialist. The Ace Specialisit must possess excellent skills and obedience to become one of the Committee members. However, this figure does not have the absolute power that the others possess, simply being more of a pet for the Guidance Scientist to use in order to further extend influence in the Specials community and among the other Committee members. It is rumored that the Ace Specialist has even more special implements than the usual Special, some being that the person has now the mental capacity to instantly remember and identify anyone that comes to the eye, even those glanced over once.

With his past completely gone from his memory, and his future the only thing he has ahead of him, Donghae knows nothing of his former life. After the extreme transformation into what is currently known as a ‘Special’, one might say that his heart was ripped from his chest and replaced with wires and clock work, caring nothing more than to serve the committee until he breathed his last, dying breath. Anger, Hatred, Fear, Sadness, and Love are nothing more than an emotion to Donghae; something he says that only foolish humans surround themselves with to make their lives more interesting and seem meaningful. Thankful to those for making him what he has become, Donghae is determined to please them in any way, having no boundaries or morals to achieve making their greatest desires become real, making it his destiny.

Donghae’s choice of markings he prefers are that related to a fish, but since the idea of being tattooed to look as such rather makes him look like a clown more than anything; he prefers those that resemble an ocean on a stormy night. One spirals down from the right side of his neck to his middle finger, while the other existing from his hip bone on his left side to the side of his knee cap. Both are in sync with his heart beat and flow up and down his body like an angry wave trying to free itself from captivity.

As a special, Donghae is able to survive in harsh conditions, able to pull nutrients from anything that is around him in order to sustain himself until his mission is successful. He has the ability to hear through walls and has exceptionally quick reflexes. Having an attraction for water, his abilities seemingly increase when near a source of water such as a pond, lake or even a fountain gushing water.
