Muggle born Tessa Barracus was abandoned by her parents at a young age along side her older sister Vanessa. Her sister led them unto a full-blood couple who were stricken sterile. The kind couple took the two girls in, raising them as their own. Growing up, Tessa heard stories of magic from her adoptive parents but that’s all they let them be: stories. Wanting Tessa to lead a normal human life, they kept most things magic under wraps. At age eighteen, Tessa received an invitation to attend Filotimo. Knowing they couldn’t hide the universe of magic from her any longer, they granted the choice of attendance to Tessa. With much convincing of her older sister, she left for her freshman year at Filotimo.

Tessa is shy and normally keeps to herself. In contrast to her older sister, she doesn’t like the attention to be centered on her. She is very sweet and open with people that she is close to. Tessa chooses to dance in her free time, finding it easy to express herself through the music. Due to not having studied magic until her invitation to Filotimo, she can often be found with her nose in a book. Most of her classmates think of her as a wasted invitation, knowing there’s no way that this muggle born could be as smart as her sister. Not trying to actively prove anyone wrong, she lets her knowledge do the talking.
