001 #background
In his parent’s eyes, Hyunjin is a disappointment. From a very young age it was hard to miss the rebellious glint in his eyes, asking for troubles. Hyunjin was an imaginative individual, a curious child with a lot of questions about the world. He sought for adventures, liked to test the limits, and push the boundaries as far as they would go. With a notable determination for a 5 years old boy, he was proven to be the Hwang family’s worst nightmare coming true. Because you see, Hyunjin didn’t quite fit the cookie cutter. His father - a successful businessman who inherited the family’s business - and his mother - a beautiful former weather woman - unsurprisingly so had their expectations set high. They had their minds set, planned their unborn child’s future to the smallest details. So if Hyunjin wasn’t born to be the perfect kid they wanted, they were just going to shape him into one.
Hyunjin however, had different plans. Rebellious in nature, the young boy wasn’t at all interested in playing along as his parents wished. Just like any kid his age, he wanted to kick balls, ride his skateboard, play video games and hang out with friends- not attend ‘old people’ events were he was forced to wear an awfully uncomfortable suit and had to be polite and well mannered. But then again, Hyunjin, like any other kid his age, still yearned for his parent’s attention. And if the only way to get said attention was by obeying and pleasing his parents, so be it. Hyunjin would do as he was told, and so, his parents would love him.
When things went according to plan, he would get rewarded. But when he was even just slightly out of line, it would be the end of the world. His achievements didn’t matter if they weren’t in a class his parents considered relevant. Winning a sport competition, was a waste of time. And getting anything less than an A on an exam meant he was worthless. It was as if his accomplishments were a condition for their love. Hyunjin bitterly came to realize maybe it wasn’t so far from reality. And just like that, he began hating his parents.
It's was clear as day his parents weren’t in love, and matter of fact, they never were. His mother, who was 17 years younger than his father has gotten married to his father because of his money, and his father was drawn to his mother’s beauty. They both had their own greedy reasons to get married, and has played their part in pretending to live as the perfect couple everyone wished to be. And Hyunjin? He was just the missing player they needed to complete the package of the so called ‘happy-perfect-family’.
It was around that time, on his 11th birthday, that Hyunjin could confidently say there was only one thing in life he was truly passionate about, and it was music. With a promise he would try harder in school, Hyunjin was allowed to take music classes after school. But slowly, the drums turned into a tool which his parents could use to control Hyunjin. In a way, allowing him to play the drums was just another way to tie him down. If he didn’t do this or that, they would cancel his lessons. If he came back home too late, he wasn’t allowed to play for a week. And a little by little, he fell back into the same old routine of pretending to be someone he wasn&rsquo▲t button his school’s shirt all the way up, and leave his tie hanging off his neck. Until there was no trace of the old Hyunjin. Suddenly, making friends wasn’t so hard, and being guileless and enthusiastic he was all too eager to impress his new friends. With their encouragement he would sneak out of the house at midnight, and then he would have been offered the first cigarette - which was certainly not his last. Under his parent’s nose, Hyunjin has became a whole different person when he left the house. Or perhaps, he was finally being himself. But in the end of the day, he would fix his attire, put on his usual fake smile and return home as if nothing happened. When he was home, he was once again, the angel, the perfect son his parents molded him to be.
002 #personality
The Hyunjin you see at School and the Hyunjin his parents sees at home are two completely different people. While around his parents, Hyunjin is well-mannered young man. He’s very hard-working, spending hours a day on studying. His appearance is nothing but pristine, always dressed to impress, clean and tidy. But... that’s not the real Hyunjin.
At school, is where Hyunjin feels the most comfortable being himself. He’s known as the carefree, outgoing kid, who’s always down to have fun until he mysteriously disappears without saying a word. He seems pretty full of himself, definitely confident in his looks and skills (mostly being playing drums and his black belt in taekwondo). He’s a top grade student, but always downplays that fact, always plays dumb. H doesn’t like to admit he’s only good at it because he’s forced to spend hours studying each day- so it’s easier to just pretend he’s stupid. When the topic comes up he would brush it off by saying he didn’t even study and try to change the subject.
In one word he would be described as - aloof. Hyunjin keeps himself at a safe distance from everyone, although always surrounded by friends, he’s actually lonely and doesn’t have a single friend whom he can lean on, no one who knows what he’s actually like or what he’s going through. Deep inside he’s self-conscious, not nearly quite as confident as he appears to be. He battles everything on his own, even when he’s struggling he will be joking around as if nothing happens, only letting the anger and the sadness out in the form of violence or when he’s alone.
As someone who barely had any memorable childhood memories, he’s very child-like in the sense he’s new to having a rich social life as well as friends. He’s an odd mixture of someone who at times is overly mature for this age, then others he’s incredibly childish. He’s insensitively blunt, but due being extremely secretive he’s often lacks honesty. He tries his best to think before he acts, always been extremely careful to not cause any serious problems in school or else he would get in troubles at home. So while at times reckless, he has a bad habit to overthink and overanalyze everything.

One.
Don’t post on my wall. PM to plot.
Two.
Thirdpov only. I usually freestyle, so expect para-multipara. I don’t care about replies length as long as you put in effort.
Three.
A plot is a must, it doesn’t have to be complex but I need something to work with. We can swing it from there if needed.
Four.
When plotting don’t leave it all to me, don’t say “I’m fine with everything you pick”. I don’t like wasting my time on typical unoriginal plots (e.g. bumping into each other). I’d rather we don’t roleplay at all if we can’t come up with a plot we are both eager to do.
Five.
Strictly no godmodding, powerplaying, or purple prose/flowery language (e.g. chocolate orbs, rosy tiers). Don’t read my character’s mind (e.g. always being able to know when my character is lying) or use information from my profile you otherwise wouldn’t know.
Six.
I like angst, action, drama, and occasionally comedy. Creative and unusual plots are my favorite, the crazier the better; hit me up with your most absurd plots I will probably be down to it. I’m less interested in fluff and romance unless our characters are dating, but will do it if it’s part of the plot.
Seven.
Phasellus mollis dui id lobortis accumsan. In laoreet dolor sed nunc eleifend hendrerit.

Conceal(er)
Female | Junior or Senior | Requires some winging — OPEN
It’s pretty simple- you’re good at make-up and Hyunjin needs someone who can flawlessly cover his black eye he got from god knows who. You never really talked before, but you’re known for being good with make-up. He suddenly grabs you after class, as soon as you’re away from everyone else Hyunjin’s demeanor changes and instead of arguing you to hurry up he’s looking almost apologetic for bothering you. So, will you help him?
Beat it
Preferably male | Someone competitive — OPEN
On the usual route home, Hyunjin nearly always stops by an arcade. His favorite game to play is the basketball game, and apparently so is your character’s. The two have been competing over the high score spot for the past 3 months without ever meeting each other. Whenever the other would beat the score, they make sure to beat the new high-score by at least one point. You finally set a new high score - 999 - and now there seems to be an unspoken competition between you to see who will be the first one to get 1000 points. To make sure they win the battle, both have been spending more time at the arcade, and finally, for the first time, you meet and battle against each other in person.
Secret
Someone rich | Requires more plotting — OPEN
Just like Hyunjin - you come from a pretty wealthy family. The Hwang family likes to show-off and often attends charity events to which Hyunjin is forced to go. The two of you aren’t necessarily close but Hyunjin is pretty well known around school for hanging out with the delinquents. So when you see him all dressed up, being polite and kind and just basically the exact opposite of who he is in school, you’ve unknowingly discovered his biggest secret, one that Hyunjin is willing to do anything to keep hidden. (This plot is highly suitable for blackmailing of sort, if your character is mischievous. So depending on your character really it could either be comedy or take a bad turn).
Fight
Male | Angsty violence | Requires some winging — OPEN
Hyunjin learned Taekwondo ever since he was 6. He knows the rules like the back of his hand, he knows not to use his skills for wrongdoings. But after an accident happened at his home earlier that week, Hyunjin hasn’t been quite the same. The two of you never got along and would often bicker, but the fights has never been physical (Even if you did hit Hyunjin he wouldn’t hit you back, up to you it it happened before or not!). Today though, you bump into Hyunjin after school in the worst timing possible and said just the right thing to rile him up. For the first time Hyunjin raises his fist on someone and he’s unstoppable.
