Family: a person or people related to one and so to be treated with a special loyalty or intimacy.

That's what Hyejin had learned anyway. But the reality of her family was far from what she had learned in school or saw on tv or in movies. It was different from even her classmates' families. She was the second youngest in her family. Her oldest sister, Sukyung, was so beautiful she was like a goddess and was smart and successful on top of it with two different companies and successful solo career to show for it. Her second oldest was praised for knowing her priorities, and her younger sister was the baby and doted on. So where did that leave Hwasa? As the odd one out. She had started puberty early and was always super smart and had started school by the time she was 2 years old in a special private school in California. Just after her little sister turned 1, her family all moved to Osaka were Hwasa would spend the majority of her life and meet the first guy she considered the love of her life. She was 13, he was 17. He convinced her to start stealing, which she did gladly because of his promise that he would be with her if she did. When she was 14 she had her first drink, and a few months later he started her on drugs. By the time she was 15, Hwasa was the ultimate party girl. And her parents resented her for it. One summer, he had invited Hwasa to a pool party which she gladly attended. That night her life changed forever, that night the last bit of dignity she had, the last bit of purity was taken from her. The then 19-year-old, along with 4 of his buddies, took turns taking advantage of her after getting her drugged up and drunk. She never saw them again but wasn't able to go home for four days. When she returned home instead of the worried parents she expected, her parents saw her torn appearance and immediately berated her. Calling her a and a , not believing their daughters cries as she tried to explain. The hypocrisy of her parents became clear to her when her younger sister went through a similar situation with a man much older and they worked to try to get her all the help she needed.

So Hwasa pulled away from all of them and became exactly what her parents had thought she was. She went back to partying and drinking and drugs and took up smoking. When she was 18 she found herself pregnant with twins by a random guy that she had been dating for a few months. Of course, he didn't want to be a father but Hwasa refused to give up the babies, so she hid the pregnancy for six months until she started to show and her then boyfriend went crazy, attacking her and beating her almost to the point of death. When she arrived at the hospital, they told her that she had a miscarriage and lost the twins, two girls. That devastated her and so she threw herself into working until she was scouted by an agent of NONA9ON entertainment. She trained there for a few months before debuting as the leader and Main Vocalist of the girl group Pulse which quickly became a popular group. They lasted for two years before losing their traction as the company stopped promoting them, causing them to disband. Of course, this caused Hyejin to go right back to her drinking and partying.

Eventually, she started auditioning for companies again and was accepted into Indigo Entertainment where she currently is still training, in the hopes of debuting and being promoted successfully. When she's not training, she can be found in the nightclub partying or at college parties or the many bars of Hongdae.

Recently, however, a friend of her tragically passed away. Having no other family, she left it in her will for the kids to go to Hwasa. SO now, with no experience with children, having lost her own, she's now stuck with a sassy seven-year-old and a four-month-old.
