kim jungeun, mvp, one of the dumbest girls you may ever meet. okay, maybe not dumb. but she is definitely not school smart. not only is she slow but she gets lower grades than what is need be. more often than not is she threatened with being kicked off the team for nearly failing math, jungeun isn't someone who hates school. she likes it a lot but it's just something she really doesn't understand.
but, her life isn't centered around being stupid. she is one of the most prominent female athletes in her school and, probably, one of the best in the school. she is the daughter of a carpenter and an electrician, both of which were high school lovers and on high school teams. in her house, education was never put to a high regard. jungeun's whole life was set on that one basketball scholarship, so she worked hard at making sure she got okay grades and worked even harder in sports. but now, in her 3rd year of high school, the failures and "i'll do it tomorrow"s have caught up to her and now here she sits. the likelihood of getting that scholarship is slim and even passing this year's math course is slim. why can't she pass her course?
for her entire life, jungeun has always been friends with boys. her sportiness and general lack of care for her appearance made the boys like her for being able to roll around in the mud or run faster than them. she's naturally gravitated to guys, because she's always said things like "they don't start up drama" or "they talk about things i like. like sports and stuff not make up" but it really wasn't until jungeun was around the age of 12 when it became clear to her why she never really had much interest in girls being her friends. a girl in her class, transfering over from somewhere in japan, jungeun thought she was really pretty. she would sit in the library just to see the girl read, pushing her glasses up her nose. she wouldn't pay attention to what her friends would say about last nights playoffs just to watch the girl walk home from school with her friends. jungeun thought: she seems cool. i want to be her friend.
it wasn't until jungeun actually became the girl's friend and was invited to a sleepover did jungeun realize what she was actually thinking. the day before the girl was to go off to japan, never to return, she asked jungeun to stay the night at her homestay house. jungeun agreed, excited to spend her final night together. it wasn't until late at night, after watching too many action movies, did the girl turn her head and kiss jungeun. confused, scared, and completely panicked, jungeun ran away.
to this day, jungeun recognizes the fact that she's a lesbian. to this day, she has not told a single soul. the girl she kissed, sad and depressed, jungeun hasn't spoke to her since the day she kissed her. jungeun is scared of her friends telling her that she's a dyke, scared of her parents disowning her... but jungeun realizes that she's gay. but she will force herself to kiss boys and date boys to never let that secret be told.
Persona.
jungeun is a sweet, cheerful girl. she often keeps to people who like similar things as her, but she doesn't hate meeting new people. she is quite slow and forgetful, she is very insecure about this fact.
Likes.
sports such as basketball, martial arts, soccer, american football, baseball, hockey, and lacrosse. she also likes video games and sketching (though they are more like intricate doodles). she's also very fond of dance.
Dislikes.
traditionally feminine things such as dresses, make up, hair styling, and high heels. however, jungeun does like skirts. jungeun dislikes school and homework, her least favourite subject being math and english.
Hobbies.
as captain of her basketball team, jungeun's main priority is basketball. but she does dabble in other sports as well when given the chance. jungeun also does karate and dance in her spare time. jungeun plays video games (mainly games like fifa but enjoys pokemon sometimes) and draws random images on her school papers.
Secrets.
jungeun's biggest secret is her uality. she endures the "why won't you date him?" questions or guys asking her out to keep this a secret.
Fears.
fearing being left alone, whether it be because of her uality or because of some other reason, she's fearful of herself and what would happen if her secret got out...

i'm currently in my senior year of school so i'm either very busy or not busy at all. it'd be great if you could realize that my replies may take a while though i try to get them out in the month that you made them in.

my timezone is gmt-8 and i am not an insomniac so i do go to sleep at... mostly regular hours.

don't get angry if i am posting in the chat and not replying to you. either i am working on it or i am trying to regain my muse by talking to other people. muse is a fragile thing and i like to hold onto it!

i can usually never do 1st pov and i don't .. vibe with it?? however if us doing different povs bothers you so much i can do second to accomodate you. all my threads will be done multi-para and will all be done in prose rather than script.
Six.
while i usually like angst and drama, i find probably more comedic plots to be suited for this character. doesn't mean i'm closed off to angstier plots! i am open to most genres. i do not do plots! the only time i would actually do is if our characters have been dating for a year or two and even then... not really.

as everyone in the school knows, jungeun isn't the brightest bulb in the toolshed, but she tries her best. and you happen to be this year's victim: jungeun's hopeless tutor. it's wellknown that jungeun's tutors often leave her, ripping their hairs out at the fact that jungeun can't even grasp basic fractions or algebra, or that she doesn't understand the difference between a simile and a metaphor... you decide to take on the challenge of teaching jungeun how to pass her classes and maybe, with your hard work, get her something above a C-

one of jungeun's friends decided it would be a funny idea to sign her up for the drama club. not only is it mega-embarassing for her, a jock, to be in the lame drama group, it's even more embarassing when the drama teacher harasses her to come to practice. apparently, this year's drama crew is needing more boys and while jungeun is not a boy, she can easily pass for one. despite her awkward first encounter, she surprised the teacher with her audition for danny zuko, the leather clad bad boy of grease. with jungeun's long training in dancing and her not bad at all voice, she somehow managed to get the part. the only thing is now that jungeun is gay panicking because the girl who plays sandra dee is... well... a girl. and that is you. dealing with the awkward jungeun is difficult but you fully intend on bringing jungeun out of her shell and maybe one night, as the two of you practice the final scene of you're the one that i want, jungeun accidentally shares to you her deepest, darkest secret...

it was never jungeun's ideas and really, she ended up regretting it afterwards. you happened to be there, and her friends thought it would be funny if she did something to you. whether it be starting a rumour about you or pulling some stupid- prank on you, it got you hurt. and now, jungeun has to deal with detention and getting kicked off the basketball team. and, worst of all, it means she has to apologize to you.

on the flipside of her stupid prank, you're the teacher who saw it all happen. jungeun was never the best student, but she was never a bully. you didn't have her for many classes but you've definitely seen her and heard of her. she's a star player and.... well, not that great at school but it was never a big problem. you decide it's a good idea to bring her back, talk to her, and try to see why she would do a thing like that. help her realize herself.
at the motel.

after an intense away game, jungeun her usual bloody nose and scrapes all over her arms. you are usually used to this, since it is a common thing among athletes, but there are a few things that make this time a bit different. this time, the opposing team called her foul names and especially picked on her afterwards. you try and help jungeun but she doesn't accept it. you don't even know each other. but you came all this way to see your team win and one of the star players is here, looking as if she got her face bashed in. in the hotel, you sneak into her room and offer first aid help.

you were never one to be keen on working in groups or maybe you were one to be incredibly into working in groups because you're very, very lazy. either way, you were assigned to be partners with jungeun in english class and well... you're getting pretty tired of explaining the same concepts over and over again.
