being born into a long line of mortal emperors an empresses it seemed like hyungsik would grow up to live an easy and luxurious life. however, this was not the case. exactly three days after his birth a creature came into the palace at night and stole the baby from his bed. it traveled for days with the child before leaving it on the doorstep of a farming couple, who decided to raise the baby as their own. far removed from the capital, they were not aware that the royal family was lamenting the loss of their child, and hyungsik was never returned. growing up with his adoptive parents was not easy, as they were poor and worked laboriously in the fields. hyungsik was, however, a happy child who received endless amounts of love from them. the older he got the more he would help on the farm. he also learned to hunt, adventuring into the forest and bringing back small game for dinner and to sell at the market. at his current age he lives on his own within the same village as his parents, visiting often and laughing off their questions of him getting married soon. he is a gentle and free spirit, unaware of the circumstances that have altered his life completely - and what may be yet to come to change his life once more.

tl;dr - for centuries hyungsik has been reborn again and again to fulfill the same destiny - he is to become a great king draped in gold, one that will drive his kingdom into a new age of prosperity and glory. however, he has yet to even sit upon the throne, for immortals of all different kinds have interfered with his lives to prevent this from happening. an ancient prophecy has stated that if hyungsik were to complete his destiny then the whole world would change and he would be reborn as an immortal. none of the current immortals know how this will happen, or what will change about the world, but precaution mixed with a tendency to play with the puny mortals has led to them stopping him every time. hyungsik himself isn't aware of any of this, unknowingly always following the path that fate has set out for him - and being thwarted by these supernatural entities every time.

tl;dr - hyungsik has a sunny disposition and always does his best to look on the bright side of things. one of his many admirable traits is how he can remain positive even in the more dark of times. as he's said to the children of the village, "there will always be a beautiful spring after the cold winter." however, it would be unwise to mistake hyungsik's kindness for weakness. while he is polite and can certainly be a friend, if you hurt those he loves he will not hesitate to retaliate. hyungsik will not kill another human being, but he is not beyond giving them injury when deserved.

Changeling / open, any immortal
what is many years ago for hyungsik is what feels like mere seconds to you - the day you stole him from the palace. it is you who took him and changed his fate in this life forever - or did you? destiny works in mysterious ways, and it will take a lot more than new parents to stop hyungsik from unknowingly following the thread that fate has tied to him. so, what will you do when you happen to meet him again?

every summer you visit the small town in which hyungsik lives. for years he has considered you a good friend with only slightly weird habits. what he doesn't know is that you are, in fact, non-human, and you are merely coming to the village for another reason altogether. you're only letting hyungsik indulge until the moment you decide to break it to him - you just don't care about him like he does for you. 
 

Puppy Love / open, mortal
ever since the two of you were children you and hyungsik have grown up in the same village. you would eat together, play together and hang out with each other more than any of the other village children of the same age. however, for the past few years you've come to realize that what you feel for hyungsik might be more than just platonic affection. will you ever confess to this crush?
