Jeno has always been shy and somewhat quiet, most likely due to his status as a shapeshifter. They always get a reputation for being a tricky, conniving species - so no matter how nice he was people would never take his kindness at face value.
They always thought he had an ulterior motive. As such, Jeno eventually just stuck to his small group of friends and didn't bother trying to branch out. He's not rude or cold or anything, he's just...keeping to himself. By all means the young man isn't sad all the time, maybe a little melancholy, but he's come to accept his lot in life (and that includes the not-so-nice stares)。
You'll notice right away that Jeno never looks people directly in the eyes, not because he's scared
of them, but because he's scared they'll judge him. He's a hard worker who sticks to the rules given to him, and doesn't do much outside of his designated job. Outside of work the boy likes to hang out with his friends, play video games and take naps (lots of naps). When he's sad or angry he keeps everything bottled up inside, to the point where he usually has a breakdown in private. However, when he's happy Jeno's smile is known to make even the grayest day a sunshiney one。
