Namjoon grew up in a fairly well off household and a good family that raised him well despite the lack of interest they showed in his endeavors. Most of his childhood was a blur to him, a succession of mundane daily activities one day after another. it was mostly a period of time where he would learn just how to function as a human being, be nice, learn manners, take care of himself, and explore his childish imagination.

He always had the tendency to keep to himself. He never liked socialization and the mere implication of it made his skin crawl and anxiety arise, especially while he was younger. he would always find himself on the side, his face stuffed in some type of book, doing his schoolwork, writing his thoughts down, or creating an art of some kind. Despite his dislike for socialization, he never found himself becoming hostile towards people, and always found a sort of comfort in being alone. He preferred to watch from the sidelines and take things in rather than engaging in them himself. Too quiet to be acknowledged, but not loud enough to be bullied, a lot of his peers actually were afraid of how quiet he was and would dare each other to talk to namjoon (which namjoon secretly found to be amusing). And every time namjoon recalls his past memories during that time, he couldn’t say they weren’t sweet.

Keeping to himself though, got him through his school years in flying colors. His elementary and middle school years, while sweet, were a bit of a blur and was a bore to namjoon. And in highschool he graduated with a 4.0 (not at the top of his class though, some people he went to school with were crazy about taking extra classes) he's had good connections with people here and there that he still keeps in touch with to this day but he never kept his circle very big, things were comfortable for him that way. He preferred to into higher level classes and participate in extracurricular activities rather than socialize with others and find where “he fit in.”

It wasn't until college that he began to open himself up to people more. The chaos of having more connections was something that namjoon was always curious about and engaging in it by choice was something he found to be exciting. First, he knew he would need to stretch his network if he wanted to get a good job after college.. College... college was much more wild for joon because since he left his parents, he felt like he could explore whatever he wanted to. His grades gave him a full ride and without that financial burden, Joon gave zero s, he would have flings here and there, go to parties, get ed up and have a good time. But he still definitely stayed on top of things, many times, as soon as he would get his work, he would vigorously finish it the day of. He worked hard, then partied hard

After his first four years in college, though, he had to stop all of that as he wanted to pick a job up. And thanks to connections, he picked up a job with a publishing company and has been working as an editor as he continues to further his career and education. Taking up that new job and furthering his education, though, caused him to drift away from that scene. There were no hard feelings when he drifted, and he still keeps in touch with a few people he became friends with but now he is more focused on his career, passions, and job. He eventually wants to become a writer and have things go his own way, and with the way he has been working it will definitely come, but for now, he is happy with what he has and how things are going for him.

Namjoon has an awful habit of overworking himself and often times needs to be pulled out of his insane episodes of just work, school, and his side hustles (commissions, ghost writing, etc).. Often times though, he is still able to take care of himself throughout it all and usually that makes it much harder for people to notice he is pushing himself too hard. However, namjoon perhaps, does have a type of internal unconscious stress that comes from being on the go and always learning, working, doing something... and it has caused him to delve head first right into exploring his uality and ual preferences. He prefers to keep his ual explorations and experiences to himself, but one thing that he is sure of, is that he is heavily into . Just exploring that world can make him forget about everything he needs to do. and he enjoys the deep connections he can make with people while he is doing it, while he is a very open person though, it isn’t exactly easy to begin a conversation with him about the subject. more often than not, he finds himself to be avoiding such conversation unless he initiated it as going into that headspace requires a certain level of vulnerability and that is definitely something he does not like doing.

Overall, while namjoon may not seem like the most approachable person; most of the time, he’s someone that knows how to keep conversation, knows how to reel someone in and keep a one on one connection, and loves going on intellectual adventures. (come rp with me since you got this far).
