Cindy is the third child of five children. Her parents married in high school when her father accidentally impregnated her mother after their junior prom. Cindy was born after her father landed a job as a mechanic and her mother became a full-time MLM endorser from home. Growing up, her parents did the best to give their children what they didn't get as kids and this resulted in a lot of credit card debt and multiple loans that they couldn't pay off. Unaware of this situation growing up, Cindy had a great childhood that consisted of memories at water parks, family trips, and shopping at the mall for countless hours with her sisters and mother until she reached 14 and her parents pressured her to get a job and support herself: pay bills, buy her own necessities, and the goal was to eventually have her move out and be independent on her own. Oh, and of course, she wasn't allowed to have a boyfriend because they didn't want her to get pregnant. Of course, these were things her parents thought were going to help her grow as an adult and not "end up like them" but to a young Cindy, it felt like she was being abandoned as an adult at an age too young to be called anything of the sort. Her relationship with her parents dissolved as she gradually became more and more rebellious. Her older sisters, who were also in the midst of their rebellion, aided Cindy to thrive as an underaged rebel. Cindy has a great bond with her sisters and once they grew out of their rebellious phase and realized how human their parents were and how they were genuinely doing their best, they made up and became a whole family again. Cindy has two younger brothers, but with the sisters they have, hopefully, their teen years will go better. 
After graduating from high school, Cindy knew that college wasn't the right scene for her. She moved away from her family into this city to pursue a different life. She picked up a couple of part-time jobs and began driving for Lyft, took a make-up artist course and a lash extension class to become a beauty and lash technician, and even began her own little company. Cindy's life isn't perfect, but she is hustling to make a living as she tries to discover what her true calling is.
