there are many definitions and variations of the phoenix in every culture out there. but it all originates to one idea, one birthplace: that it will rise from the ashes and be rebirthed into something new.

jimin's powers didn't activate until recently. 'recently' as in mere months ago. he was obviousy a late bloomer but the reason why his entire family disowned him was because of it. it wasn't even his fault either.

you see, his mother was a werewolf. his father, a vampire. so how in the hell jimin ended up becoming a phoenix is a mystery to even himself. growing up, jimin was... human. he didn't heal like a werewolf did or have super strength or have the ability to shift. he didn't have fangs or the thirst for blood or the inapt satiation of being in the moonlight compared to the sunlight. he had none of that. he was just... human. his parents took him to several clinics all around the country, trying to figure out what was wrong with him. all the doctors ever said was that he was either a 'late bloomer' or a human like the myths. still, his parents never gave up on him.

his abilities and his true nature never came forth until a few days before his 20th birthday in 2018. he was walking home from his night shift after having to pull a double when he was shot by a drive-by gang. he was 'pronounced' dead on the scene. by the time his family arrived, it happened. suddenly, there was intense heat and flames and fire, lots of fire. it caught the warehouse nearby and burned it to the ground within seconds. everyone was stunned to see a boy sitting in the pile of ashes with flames flickering at his fingertips.

it didn't happen immediately but his family disowned him for being a phoenix. apparently, people both feared them and hated them. everyone always thought phoenix's are nothing but trouble, chaos, and destruction. that fire was death.

and for a while, jimin thought that too.

for the first month or so, jimin refused to touch anybody; too afraid he might burn them due to not having enough control of his abilities. but once he took secret, and restrictive, lessons on controlling, harnessing, and discovering his abilities, jimin is now more comfortable in who and what he is. still, jimin has trouble finding people who don't mind who he truly is, so he tends to try to hide that part; only telling a select few people like his close friends.

as of recently, jimin applied for an o.o.c inspector at the monsters shipping corporation and will be starting his job there very soon.

before jimin got rebirthed as a phoenix, he was on the chubbier scale. chubby cheeks, chubby fingers. he always struggled dieting and would have very little motivation to go to the gym because he worried of people judging him. he wasn't overweight, per say, but he definitely was a lot thicker than normal people around him. now? after jimin got rebirthed? muscles. he's muscles now. a firm six pack, broad chest, decently size biceps, lithe waist, thick thighs, and a sharp jawline.

jimin wears contacts all of the time to hide the natural fiery red eye color he has. he remembers looking in the mirror after the incident all he saw in his eyes were flickers of amber and rising smoke. so he put blue contacts in and it affects his eye sight quite a bit but he still wears them none the less; though you'll often see him in glasses.

as for clothing wise, jimin still tries to hide his body behind baggy clothes. he still lacks that confidence in his body but he's slowly accepting it, no worries. it's just a work in progress.

Likes: the sound and smell of fresh rain, hiking, scenic views, sunsets, the feeling of warm sand under his toes, soft serve ice-cream, dancing when no one is around, singing when no one is around, the scent of lavender, disney movies, studio ghibli movies, s'mores, camping, crisp lemonade, hammocks, books, movies, hot cocoa, midnight walks, cuddling/physical affection.

dislikes: tomatoes, pineapples (this includes on pizza), mushrooms, peppers, violence or any bursts of anger/rage, people with a silver spoon in their mouths, loud cracks of thunder, loud noises in general.

preferred position: bottom

turn ons/kinks: hair pulling, light (being tied up, blindfolded, or cuffed), musckle kink, spanking, getting marked up, semipublic or public /, choking on one's , more to be discovered/added.

turn offs: pain play (he can do a certain amount but it'd be best to use a color system just in case), piss play, blood play (just ew), more to be discovered/added.

other details: if he's desperate enough and one of his kinks is triggered (hair pulling works best), he will immediately go into sub space. other times, jimin will either be a power bottom or minx. there's no in between.

• spontaneous combustion/incineration touch: in human form, he can incinerate anything upon touching if he so wished. he could easily reduce you to a mere pile of ashes if you get on his bad side.

• immortality: a phoenix is immortal. they are immune to death, aging, and natural causes.

• resurrection: their tears are able to bring a person back from the brink of death.

• invulnerability: phoenix's can take multiple shots or blows to the chest without flinching.

• superhuman strength: phoenix's are incredibly strong and can effortlessly lift a great weight with their tails. in human form, they're strong enough to even break out of coffins even if they've been nailed shut and buried 6 feet under already.

• rapid regeneration: the ability to heal itself

• teleportation: the ability to disappear and reappear in bursts of flames, taking anyone it's holding on to with them.

• shapeshifting: the phoenix can take on a human form to hide it's identity; which is a gigantic bird.
