born in daegu, 1993 joohyun was welcomed to a family of three; mother, father and an older brother. it was quite frank from early on that joohyun was a shy kid and unlike her brother, wasn't keen on being on the spotlight.

this being a factor that would determine her life greatly in the future.

majority of her childhood was spent with her mother and brother - summers at her grandparents place by the countryside and rest of the year in the city.  her father was a marine and hardly saw him most of the year. things weren't much better with her mother, who was a strict lawyer and had a habit of overworking herself, leaving joohyun with his brother alone.

IT WAS ONLY A MATTER OF Time till her parents divorced, only distancing herself from her father further.

at the age of 19, joohyun decided to pursue her degree in information technology at hanguk university in seoul. this wasn't without backlash from her mother, who had plans for her to become a lawyer like her brother. therefore blocking financial aid to her daughter. 

at seoul she would continously work at a local ramen restaurant whenever she could, scrapping for money. with seven years have passed she still struggles to make ends meet when it comes to money and also her mother.

the years of comparement and despise got the best of her and now focuses on trying to prove the people in her life wrong. 

often timid and aloof, joohyun has struggled to maintain close relationships ever since she was little. some thought she was mute or straight up y, she has heard it all.

being the type of person who needs warming up to at first, it hasn't been easy being one with the short end of the stick when it comes to social life. right now she only maintains a handful of close friendships, mainly ones from her local university.

at times witty and even humorous, she also cares deeply for the ones who deserve it. everything she feels, she feels it hard. from love to grief. once comfortable with you, you'll know that she's there to stay.
