Blah blah blah.
SCROLL RIGHT.
mark earns the title of being brutally honest.
he describes himself as someone who isn't afraid of speaking what he believes in, but it is also a double-edged sword. there are many who dislikes his blunt trait. there are plenty who call him an '', but he doesn't care much about it.
despite him being straight-forward, he tends to hide himself from others. he prefers being alone, and he rather not make any full commitments. sure, he can be your friend but don't expect him to be anything more. he has the tendency to push everyone away and proceeds to stay in his own circle.
within that, he shows off an aura of a tease, which he uses to cope with his negative traits. a mix of sarcasm and that random wink he does, it is quite the success since people usually take him less seriously when time goes.
mark grew up without a mother. he had a loving father, but his father was too busy to take care of mark. instead, his childhood was under the wing of his caretaker; a young woman who came around and needed the money. he remembered her as a cheerful college student, but she slugged through her days while holding a medical book. despite having the deepest color as her dark circles, she powered through with a soft smile that mark never forgot.
his father was a well-known movie director in america. his movies were constant successes; he hired a-listers as his actors and won awards without a sweat. mark always saw his father in his office. his hands constantly glided across the paper all day and night. mark, being a good child, never bothered his father, but there was always a hint of gloom in his father’s eyes. mark never figured out why when he was a kid, but he knew now.
when mark was a bit older, he recalled talking about his mother once to his father. his wrinkles turned from glee to agony in a second, but his father hid it from him. he said that his mother was his college sweetheart; a kind woman who wanted to be a doctor. he mentioned that his mother loved children, but there was nothing else afterwards. his father never gave away the reason to why his mother was gone, though mark never questioned him after that day.
mark’s caretaker continued to take care of him while he attended elementary school. however his caretaker eventually quit her job after her medical school graduation, he was then left alone at home with his father. mark was upset about the situation, but it was an inevitable case. after her departure, mark never saw her again, and his bright self began to dim.
his father was offered a life-promising career in south korea. he was asked to direct movies for the country, which gave him more exposure to the nation. his father gladly accepted without mark’s acceptance, and mark was forced to leave his birth country. his move-in wasn’t welcoming.
he experienced xenophobia firsthand when he stepped off the airport, then the horror bled into his middle school years. people called him all sorts of names and kicked him around on the playground. they didn’t want a non-korean on their land, and mark suffered without telling anyone, especially his father.
learning korean was hard for mark. his teachers never offered their help, and he had to learn the language himself. he was pushed around often for not knowing the language. they continued to pick on him after middle school, and the language was still hard for him. however, he picked it up to a fluent level, but his ethnicity never made it any better.
as a way to cope with the hurt, mark started to learn how to dance after watching a few videos. it was the only way to ignore the isolation that he went through, and it worked. mark decided to make a youtube channel when he was a freshman. the channel started off small with dance covers, but it quickly erupted with popularity after a famous choreographer gave exposure to his videos. he also used and learned video editing while he practiced making each video.
despite his goal to avoid the bullying, he did not get any better. his bright personality slowly turned cold, and he created a barrier that nobody is able to break through.
mark graduated with above average scores and got into solace university due to his father’s title. he began majoring in film, and he eventually began to double major in dance at the beginning of his sophomore year.
