Soonyoung lived his life to impress people. Seeing people happy was simple happiness to him. He was simply a people's pleaser. That applies especially to the male's parents. Every little boy wants to impress their parents and pay for everything they have done for them. Soonyoung wanted exactly that but he had to do it the hard way. He's always been the star student and going by elementary was fine but as highschool came it started to spiral down.

The young male meets someone and without even thinking, he grew feelings for the boy. the two end up being best friends and always hanged out together after class. things go bad when he didn't feel like a best friend anymore. they confessed they liked each other but the latter didn't want to be together because of his parents and soonyoung agrees which turned the relationship into best friends to friends with benefits. meet ups after class were different and he his grades went low. Soonyoung had thought that his parents would still accept him but he wished he hadn't trusted them too much.

He comes out to his parents but ends getting told that they didn't raise a gay kid and that it wasn't going to give him any success in life. things became hard and the trust was gone and even the love was fading. he had lost everything and wishes to restart and by doing so, he follows every word his parents said to become the star that they had always loved and hoped that he'd feel the love from them. He didn't feel like completely losing himself so he still went out to clubs at night and sometimes into gay clubs. He wanted a little taste of ty version before he's become someone totally different.
