contrary to belief, money did not solve all of robert’s problems. his father, robert downey, a proven mastermind had built downey industries from the ground up. he made it the leading tech company internationally and that meant he spent almost every waking minute focused on his next brilliant idea for the company and for the generation. for most of robert’s childhood, he spent countless times trying to catch his father’s attention by building various contraptions, inventing different things, and graduating early to show he was capable. his mother, anna downey, was always at his father’s side whether it’d be at the office or business trips, but made sure to remind robert that they both loved him very much. being at that position made it difficult for them to be there for him, especially during some of the important moments in his life.

known as a child prodigy by the people that knew of him, which was a good chunk of the world, his brains and photographic memory had helped him tremendously in life. he graduated high school a couple years early, attended cambridge university, and graduated at the top of his class by 20. his college years were like any others, both partying and studying. because of his family name, he’s never lived a quiet life. many people he’s met were leeches trying to take advantage while the very few wanted to be his friend, not because of his status. robert grew a thick skin over the years since he knew that if he hadn’t sooner or later, the outside world would eat him up completely.

a few weeks after he turned 22, he found out his parents had passed away in a car accident on their way to a classified meeting. even though he wasn’t tremendously close to his parents, he loved and respected them deeply. this event had completely shaken his life and he’s never truly recovered from it. robert ended up becoming the ceo to the defense company, surprising the public with his tremendous leadership skills and brain on par to his father’s. in his private life, he dealt with most of his stress by drinking and sleeping with countless women. there was a void in his heart that he couldn’t fill no matter how hard he tried.

downey industries is a multinational leading tech company. it was started by frank downey and is now lead by robert downey. it is a defense company that develops and manufactures advanced weapons and military tech.
