Taron never liked talking about his past. “I mean, to be able to look forward, you gotta never look back, right? That’s… That’s a saying, right?” is what Taron would always respond when asked about his childhood and such. It really just wasn’t the happiest time of his life and he preferred to keep it to himself as much as possible. As a child, all Taron ever did was keep to himself. Speaking up was hard when it came to his household due to all the constant yelling that went down everyday. His father would do nothing but yell at his mother for making one little mistake, and often times those yells would be accompanied by fists to the face. None of it was pretty except for his mother’s face. Taron always told his mother that she was pretty, but then that pretty face of hers would soon enough be littered with bruises from the beatings. Taron wished it would stay pretty; Taron wished that his father would just go away. Mother could just leave if she wanted to honestly, but the risk of losing their financial stability that was tied around her husband’s finger was way too big. She tolerated it for her only son and Taron couldn’t feel more useless than he did back then. He should have done something. He should have stood up for his mother no matter the costs; no matter the fear that clung to his heart.

Eventually, time went on and Taron’s father grew bored of his wife and his family. He needed entertainment one way or the other so he set off and tried finding the best clubs in town. Every other day he would either come back home late at night or not come back at all. He would still return after a few days though; he always returns like the thing he’s returning to actually mattered to him. One night, when Taron's father had come home at about three in the morning, his mother proceeds to let out all the rage she had built up inside of her. She yells at him for abusing her, she yells at him for not caring about his family, and she yells at him just because. He deserves it just as much as she deserved to do this. With their divorce filed and official, she takes her son and begins their life away from that wretched man that he used to call “father”.

Taron’s mother ended up falling for a Korean man who was on a business trip to England which is the country where Taron and his mother currently live. He tells them that he’s going to return to Seoul and would very much like to bring both Taron and his mother along with him. The two agree and soon enough, life turns out well for them. Taron’s mother remarries, Taron’s step-father has a successful career, Taron enters Seoul Foreign School for high school, and now he’s about to enter his freshman year at Solace University. Taron doesn’t like talking about his past, yes, but not only did his past shape his life into what it was now but it gave him much more courage to stand up for his family. No matter the cost. This vow comes in handy soon enough however. The very moment Taron gets accepted for Solace University, Taron's step-dad is fired from his current job; the one thing that was holding up the family financially was taken away just like that. Not wanting to burden the family with his tuition fee, Taron tells his parents that he can handle his tuition on his own. Whatever he needs to do, he will do it.
