born in australia, chris' father died when he was just 11, and since his father lived off of helping in social crisis organizations and his mother worked a minimum wage-job, they couldn't afford their previous lifestyle anymore - they moved from sydney to seoul to live with his grandparents, meaning chris had to go to a korean school, thus, he had to improve his spoken korean drastically in like no time. he repeated 5th grade because of this - and he lost the friends he made back in australia as well. chris suffers from a bipolar disorder which makes it hard for him to actually make friends, he worries a lot about his pretty heavy moodswings, he also is a very fearful guy. he wants others to like him, so he tries his best to be as close to perfection as he can. obviously, he doesn't ever seem to be satisfied with himself. he attempts to come off as confident and cool, but once you've observed this guy for a little longer than 5 minutes, you'll soon notice that he'll get nervous upon being watched. chris gets nervous very easily, and there are a lot of things which he is afraid of - some of them being spiders, bugs, being left behind or forgotten, negative judgement, not being good enough, being touched, being close, being ridiculed, the dark, being alone, injections, needles and literally anything sharp, speaking in public, seeing doctors, changes, dead animals, blood... pretty much anything, and it blocks him from unleashing his potential.
Overall, chris is a very friendly and definitely selfless guy. he puts others in front of himself, and he's very loyal, very forgiving (just protect him at all cost, thanks).
during his down phases, chris is highly irritable. he is, generally speaking, quite impulsive, but he keeps his struggles to himself. basically, he's a walking time bomb ready to explode and blow all life out at any time.

[x] his mother and grandfather got in a huge fight over his mother being neglective, and after chris had to call the cops on his grandfather due to him getting in a physical fight with his mother, he got sent into a program for therapeutical dormitory for kids like him, where he lived until he started going to uni. he took a break for a year to focus on therapy before joining, hence the age gap between him and other freshmen.
