ABOUT

Zhengting was born in Anhui, China. He lives in a family of five, consisting of him, his parents and two older sisters. He moved to Korea at a very young age with his family, so his memory of his mother land isn’t as strong as his sisters. Even so, he still speaks fluent Mandarin, courtesy of his family who constantly communicated with him in that language. When he was three years of age, he found a passion in dancing and started going for traditional dance classes.

Zhengting comes from a wealthy family. His father is the CEO of a shipping corporation while his mother is a well-known fashion designer who sew clothes for the big names. His first sister soon married and now lived with her family of four, raising two healthy twins with her husband. His second sister went back to China and became a best-selling author in the country, joining countless variety shows. As for himself, he is now studying in university and working as a part-time waiter in a cafe.

At the age of fifteen, some time after his second sister left, his family moved to Jangseung after finding information on the small and quiet town. His parents were fascinated by the tranquility and mysteries surrounding the town, and as such, made the decision to move there. He finished his high school studies and moved on to get his Master’s degree in the local university.

Zhengting practically had a perfect life. His family is rich, he has a steady part-time job, and he’s excelling well in his academics. Nothing could get better than this.

One day, he was on his way to work after university, his chauffeur fetching him back home first so he could get changed. None of them knew what happened, the car was in perfect condition, and yet somehow, it spiralled out of control. The vehicle swerved sharply to the left, bumping into the pavement, slamming into a street lamp. His chauffeur was knocked out instantly, but Zhengting managed to stay awake for a bit longer before pain took his consciousness away. Through his blurred gaze and slowly darkening vision, he saw someone standing in front of their car, hands in their pocket, their face a spiral.

The next time Zhengting opened his eyes, he was in the hospital. His parents were by his side and his mother immediately cried tears of joy when her baby son turned out to be fine. His father called in the doctors who checked his vitals, delivering the good news that he was in good shape. Aside from scratches and bruises, he didn’t sustain any traumatising injury. Due to crash, however, he found out that he had been in a comatose state for two days.

Zhengting asked about his chauffeur, and almost instantly, the air grew cold. The man didn’t make it, the doctor had explained, citing that he had a head injury and died by the time the ambulance arrived to the hospital. He was obviously saddened by the news, but couldn’t do much about the matter.

Zhengting’s mother brought candies the day after he woke up, some sweets and lollipops. One lollipop in particular stood out to the male, a big round candy that is a mesh of rainbow, an obvious outline showing how the candy spiralled until it meets in the centre. Flashes of memories passed his mind, images of a man with a spiralled face, and his body felt as if it had been doused in cold water. He shrugged off the thought at first, finding the experience odd and figuring that it was probably just a gust of wind. Even so, he ate all the candies except for the swirling lollipop.

On the second day, while his mother was away to get him some coffee, he sat by the window and looked out to the sky. He noticed something moving beneath his gaze and glanced down, seeing a sneak crawling its way towards a plant pot. He couldn’t take his eyes away from the spiral of the snail’s shell, how it swirled upwards until it becomes a pointy end in the middle. He snapped out from his musing when his mother came back with his drink, and he thanked her while receiving the cup. The moment his gaze landed on the surface of the drink, his heart froze.

A milk pattern at the top. It could’ve been anything, so it should’ve baffled him when he saw the simple design. Instead, when his brain registered the spiralling white, he dropped the cup, the porcelain shattering into pieces as hot brown liquid splashed everywhere.

The incident had worried his mother. She knew something was wrong, but she wasn’t sure what it was. All she was aware of was, things only seemed to worsen for Zhengting from then on. His father was flabbergasted by the sudden change in his son, wondering what happened in that car accident to cause such a change in behaviour. Both of his parents wanted to help him, but they didn’t know what the problem was.

For Zhengting, the problem was as clear as day. Ever since his accident, he had been witnessing the spiral a lot. Every time he sees a spiral, he’ll be brought back to that time in the car, watching as the engine went up to smokes and a foggy image of a man with a weirdly contorted face stood watching everything. He tried to ignore it at first, but when the spiral started becoming a constant thing in life, so much that he couldn’t be left alone for one second without witnessing the event, that was when it started taking a toll on his mentality. He believes the spiral is out to get him, that if he sees the spiral again, he’ll have to watch out because that means something bad will happen.

Whatever the spiral’s purpose is, all Zhengting knew was that he needs to avoid it at all costs, his life depended on it.

Hi! Call me Rin, Yuki, Ivan or my character’s name. The pronouns is she.

Timezone is +8. On weekdays, I’m free in the morning until 6:40AM where I’ll need to go to school. I won’t be back until 8-9PM once my mom is done with Zumba. Otherwise, I’m free most of the time, especially weekends and holidays. Hit me up anytime! I’ll reply to you as soon as I can.

I do both first and third. I am more detailed with third, though I reply faster with first. For third, I can do short, detailed, multi-para or novella. For first, we can do it simple and short, or long and detailed. To make it easy for you to understand, when I use brackets “[text]”, it means that my character is doing something; if I use slash “/text”, it means that something outside of my character is doing something, an NPC if you may. I mostly do short or detailed third, though if I have a lot of muse, I can go multi-para or even novella.

I can do any genres, though my top three would be angst, dark and drama. I adore fluff and comedy a lot, so if you think we can do that somehow in this RP, count me in! I’d love to drown myself in that cheesy cuteness. I don’t mind either winging it plotting, but if we’re going to plot, just know that I have little to no brain juices to come up with a great plot line, so we’ll need to work together to make an excellent storyline, okay? Bear with me, please.

I think that’s most of it. Don’t be afraid to leave me a PM! I won’t bite. ^^
