born of a marine god and a cloud nymph, one could say that iris was destined to do what she does. as the goddess of the rainbow, and a treasured messenger when needed, iris gives the world — both mortal and immortal alike— a reason to smile. she has been known to be bright and cheery, and that always reflected in the rainbows that seemed to grace her path wherever she went. when among the mortals, she went by the name “ten” — simple, right? though she is a goddes, she tends to take the form of a boy, even if she has no reason of explanation other than she likes it. iris spends her days flitting around the mortal realm’s skies, rainbows appearing in rain-dusted skies when the sun shines. she knows it brings joy to the mortals, so why not share it? otherwise, she spends her time tending to flowers, watching them grow and doing her best to make and keep them pretty. and maybe, just maybe, if you ask her nicely, she’ll make that oh-so-sweet drink of nectar and honey that seems to only taste so good when made by her.
