HE'S THE GOD OF STRENGTH, HEROES, HEALTH.  DIVINE PROTECTOR OF MANKIND, AND THE GATEKEEPER OF OLYMPUS.  But before he assumed any of these titles he was thought to be a mortal.  it was only known to zeus, his mortal mother alcmene, and hera, that he had divine blood flowing through his veins.  To others, he was simply a very special boy, strong and intelligent - much to the ire of many who plotted against him from a young age.  At a mere eight months, heracles strangled a snake which had been implanted in his room. 

his youth was complicated. to prove himself to hera, he had to complete twelve tasks. which he accomplished, much to hera's ire. he was soon elevated to the status of a god but the adventurous herakles has since lead an unconventional life. often assuming mortal identities, he would go to the mortal realm to enjoy and reminisce his childhood.  It was also the perfect chance to learn various forms of sports within the mortal world and had left his legacy as an accomplished taekwondo athlete for a few years.  

however when herakles was suggested to settle down, he relented after ignoring the request for eons. he came back to olympus and decided to implement his knowledge on health, mortal sports, and physical activities as a physical therapist at asclepius hospital. nonetheless, herakles escapes whenever he finds the time, his wanderlust as wide as the milky way that he inspired.
