Biography
Hyunjin was the youngest child of his family. His older sister, Hyuna, was the ideal woman. The ideal daughter. She was perfect in every aspect and it was obvious that their parents favored her over Hyunjin. She never talked back, not even so much of an attitude. She always did what she was told, straight A's, never snuck out, etc. She was goodie two shoes.
Hyunjin lived in her shadow.
Their parents constantly badger him about trying to be more like her; as if the person he is right now isn't enough, like he wasn't perfect enough for their taste. No matter how hard he'd work, how far he'd push himself, his parents were never satisfied. So even now, Hyunjin not only thinks that he's not enough but that he'll never be enough to satisfy someone.
When Hyuna died a few days before his 16th birthday, his entire family broke apart. His father began drinking and his mother lost her job. The investigation ruled Hyuna's death to be a suicide. Apparently, she couldn't handle the burdens their parents put on her shoulders and didn't want to be in the world anymore. For some reason, Hyunjin was blamed for her death. They kept saying that it was his fault she's gone. That maybe if he was better, did what he was told, then maybe they wouldn't have expected so much from her.
After a few months, the verbal and physical abuse began. Hyuna's death was then used in a way to set Hyunjin straight, to put him in his place and remind him of how small he is. He's looking for a way out but he doesn't even know which direction to go.
However fate seemed to have a different plan for Hyunjin. He soon met a man named Akay who was more than willing to take him in, sheltering him from his abusive parents. But it's not like it would be easy; Hyunjin was constantly on lockdown. However, when one of his "friends" blurted out that he was gay, his parents snapped and nearly killed him that night if it wasn't for Akay swooping in for the rescue. Akay took Hyunjin in and let him crash in his apartment until he could live on his own. Not too long after that, Hyunjin fell head over heels for a man named Dongmin. He was in love, for the first time, and was happy.

He should've known happiness doesn't stay long.
One day, he came back to the apartment only to find it empty and vacated. Akay had left without so much of a word to Hyunjin, leaving him homeless. Struck with grief, Hyunjin went to Dongmin's place only to find it in the same way. Both men left Hyunjin without a goodbye. Both men crushed him and shredded his very last drop of faith in the world. Now Hyunjin is homeless living in his car with the little money he earns from his job and is suffering from a broken-heart.
Personality
Hyunjin likes to pretend that everything's okay, that he's totally not cracking under pressure or on his 5th breakdown of the day. It's what he's usd to, what's he always done; live under a facade. To everyone else, Hyunjin was this normal kid living a normal life and nothing seemed out of the ordinary.
He struggles a lot with talking about his emotions and his feelings. Due to the abuse he endured, he was always taught that he didn't matter, that his feelings weren't accounted for, to never even let an ounce of emotion slip or his parents would use it against him.
Other than that, Hyunjin's an abnormally sweet but awkward person that isn't used to compliments - or anything positive, really. He's compassionate, patient, yet persistent and stubborn. He's fiercely protective over the people he cares about and despite being human, will literally die for the person he loves.
