jungkook had a good life. at least, that's what the small amount of memories in his mind tell him. he grew up happy in a loving family; a mom, a dad, and an elder brother jihyun. everything was fine. everything was perfect. everyone was happy.

until they weren't.

when jungkook first woke up in the forest, he was confused and lost; no memory of anything and no recollection of who he was and why he was there. the only thing he knew to do was create. so one look around the dead, deserted forest, jungkook did just that. he touched every tree, every surface of every inch of that forest and watched the life literally bloom under his fingertips. he was fascinated. but the more he touched, the more mother nature gave; for each time he created life, she gave him a portion of his memory. at first, all of the memories were fond ones; him laughing, eating dinner at the table, wrestling with his brother, standing up for a classmate.

everything was fine.

until it wasn't.

eventually, the memories turned darker. they twisted with the images of blood splattering against tree bark, painting the wet grass. there was begs, pleas, cries of pain, blood-curdling screams. and they were all his own. jungkook had been murdered and by what his memories said, it was brutal, it was painful, and it was slow.

the "birth place" of jeon jungkook, the forest spirit, is now a sacred place in his forest. the cherry blossom tree that stood there was considered the tree of life; serving as his only connection to the forest. the large stones there with symbols engraved on it stood as an ancient reminder of the past forest spirits. just below those very stones stood a patch of dead grass. it was the very spot where jungkook had died as a human. the only dead spot left in the forest; the only spot jungkook is unable to bring himself to face. for he knows that when he does, he won't like what he sees.

for that little patch is the final puzzle piece.

jungkook was considered a wallflower when he was still human; barely noticed, no one knew his name or even spoke to him. he wasn't very social himself so it's not like he made it easy for him either. jungkook is quiet and on the shy side but once someone breaks through his walls, he will bloom into a different person.

he's playful, energetic, and full of smiles and laughter. he'll throw innocent jests and jabs at someone just in spite; his own unique way of showing affection towards someone. he's a bold, old school romantic that believes in picnics, stargazing in the back of a truck, and love letters. he's compassionate, gentle, caring, and open-minded. but as a forest spirit, he's also cautious, distrustful, suspicious, and coy.

jungkook has two forms: his human form and his spirit form. only the worthy, and the few, can see his spirit form, which is a gigantic snow white deer with a large rack of antlers. his antlers are always covered in little flowers along with the smaller animals of the forest; chipmunks, squirrels, possums, birds, even the occasional owl.his human form, however, was what he looked like when he was human. it never changed except for the eye color and the additional freckles dotting along his cheeks and nose. when he was an actual human, his eyes were deep brown but now they're crystal pine green.

since jungkook is still a very young spirit, he's still discovering his abilities. so far, these are what he's discovered:

• healing
• sensing all life in his forest, including animals and any wandering humans or supernaturals
• being able to sense someone's intent and thoughts the second they step foot into his forest
• being able to see emotions in bursts of color around someone's aura.
    - yellow: happiness, joy, content, warmth, friendliness, euphoria
    - orange playful, energetic, optimistic, hopeful
    - soft red: love, romance, endearment, fondness, warmth, passion
    - dark red: urgency, anger, aggression, frustration, rage, warning, violent
    - pink: shy/timid, romance, endearment, fondness, warmth, hopeful, cheery, kind, friendly
    - lavender: shy/tmid, embarassed, anxious, nervous, paranoia, apprehension
    - purple: mystery, coy, suspicion, caution, weariness
    - green: greed, disgust, envy
    - blue: sadness, melancholy, forlorn
    - brown: agitation, annoyance, frustration, confusion, distraught
    - grey:
    - black: violent, blood-thirsty, murderous, cold, distant, warning, extreme aggression
    - white: fear, sickness/illness
