As the last and youngest child of the quite big Healy family Matthew has never really experienced what it means to have someone put their expectations on his shoulders. Both of his older brothers have been born several years before him, which not only made the age gap between them exaggeratingly large but it also created a strange bareer that disabled him from being able to consider them as a part of his close family. Rather than that, he has always viewed them as cousins, additionally those of the more irritating sort that he never really had a common theme to talk about and it was no wonder at all - both males were more into paragraphs and stock exchange ups rather than music or developing their own creativity. They loved to hide behind the dull and well-known matters that were nothing more but atrocious junk to Matthew. And as trivial as it sounds, seeing his brothers dressed in tailored suits in sickening blacks and grays was one of the main reasons why the boy - aged 10 at that time - decided that he would never fall so low to willingly follow in their footsteps. His family viewed it as anything but serious, like just a symptom of his still rather childish nature but as years passed by, they were astonished to see that the infantile promise became pretty much the motto of his life. As a teenager Matty has been sent to one school after another and the amount of expulsion letters that his parents got over the years lessened their strictness more and more. By the time of his 18th birthday they didn't really care about what he did in school or after his lessons anymore as they knew that none of their restrictions could change his behavior anyway. He did what deemed to be "the best choice" and he wouldn't let anyone try to talk him out of his ideas, one of them being moving out from his home and moving in to the apartment building that serves that exact purpose till this day. Like that, he freed himself from any prohibitions that weren't his landlord's warrants (as he doesn't really like the idea of being thrown out of his flat), hoping to live his life as ideally as he imagined it - independently, leisurely and most importantly, to the fullest..

personality junk matthew is pretty much like what a late summer night feels like - comfortably sluggish, calm and pleasant for both heart and mind. It is extremely difficult to annoy him and ever more so to actually make him lose his temper. Adventurous, fun-loving and free-spirited; for him most rules are just new guidelines that need to be re-written or - what he prefers even more - broken in every ing way. Venturesome and bold, he doesn't shun the new and unknown. A lot of his acquaintances adore how Matthew seems to be a never-ending paradox that keeps growing in its inconceivable oddness. if he could have it his way, he would most likely just leave everything he has behind and found a band, have concerts in small bars and get everything he truly enjoys in life almost for free - alcohol, shared cigarettes and maybe a girl for the night. He can come off as a bit egoistic and egocentric, however that isn't really that far away from the truth - Matthew oftentimes cares more about himself than about others, not that this would make him feel embarrassed for his behavior in any way. He is also one of those annoying people, who do things before pondering about their consequences first, which makes him go through a lot more than he actually should. However, thanks to his cunning ways and all the years that he has spent gathering knowledge from the streets, they made him pretty fluent in sweet-talking his way out of tricky situations. And if he's not able to do so, he doesn't really mind getting his knuckles bruised either since He's rather a "talk get hit" kind of person.

— he still has that white blanket made of thick alpaca wool that his mother has made for him when he was 5 years old; truth is, he still sleeps with it (usually hugging it instead of a pillow).
— he really loves learning things about planets, stars and the universe in general. his childhood dream was becoming an astronaut.
— he's only picked up the job at the university because he's met one of his lecturers in a bar once and he was enough to actually agree to fill in as a substitute for one of the post-grads. however, the "temporary" job turned out to be one he's been doing for around three years now.
— really loves orange juice, he drinks it all the time. when he's not drinking that, he's probably getting wasted on whiskey on ice or getting an energy kick from coffee.

It's weird how taken by you he was - usually, he couldn't even care less about a one-night-stand like the one the two of you had.
