Jung Hoseok's family had moved to St. Petersberg when he was merely a toddler. The world was in such ruin, and despite the danger of possibly being killed by the Royals, it was much safer to live there, within their farms than in other cities. You see, the vampires had control over their...food, and thus it was safer to know that they would at least not be killed unexpectantly by their own kind.

The Jung family lived unbothered for quite some time, living far from the palace in Realm G had its perks. Though they may need to go far off into the woods to find food, they were comfortable enough to believe that they would not be selected for a feast.  His family had gone nearly 20 years without being seen as food, as something to end.

It was not until that night, it was a cold night, one filled with snow. It was his elder sister, Jiwoo's, birthday. It was such a warm feeling celebration, despite the bitter cold outside of their warm home. They talked and laughed until his mother excused herself to bring the cake she prepared to the table....Not long after she disappeared, a blood-curdling shriek sounded from their kitchen.

It was not a sound the Jung family was used to, thus they all ran to the kitchen...just to be attacked. 

It was a lone vampire, and despite there being three people present, he managed to overtake them with such ease. His father and his sister fell beside his mother. Blood, so much blood. It was spattered everywhere, why? Was blood not precious enough to a vampire to eat cleanly, weren't the humans not to be killed if they were chosen to be fed on?

None of it made sense, and all Hoseok could think of when he was laying on the floor was to attack. To try and hurt the vampire just as much as it hurt them.

So he, rather weakly, dragged himself off of the floor. Slowly picked up a butcher knife from the counter and promptly drove it into the vampire's back. If it hadn't been for the vampire being so distracted by Jiwoo, Hoseok never would have been able to accomplish this feat.

Of course, within seconds, Hoseok blacked out from the vampire attacking him once more. And when Hoseok awoke, he found his parents' dead bodies, drained of their blood and his beautiful sister...well...she was missing.

He was weak, cold, dizzy from the loss of blood. Yet, his anger fumed, his hatred for vampires flared. He would never forgive this, and he vowed to find a way to end their existence...and to find his beautiful elder sister once more.
