She was born as one of the rarest pureblood vampires, Joyeuse Elise de Baudelaire was the only daughter of the Baudelaire. 

Joyeuse, when she was a kid, her parents brought her to a church where cruxifix and holy water made them vulnerable. at the young age, she was trained emotionally and physically as a Baudelaire that even though they are cursed by the gods, they should know their rights as lowly creatures and always repent to them no matter what cost. Joyeuse is very obedient to her parents and practiced their tradition as they are one of the rarest pureblood vampires even though they are not as many as the other clans. Baudelaire are one of the peaceful vampire clans and they prefer to live in peace than living to conquer other clans.

Their home were isolated and hidden to other vampires, Baudelaire usually feed on animal blood, rarely on human blood. Joyeuse was not also used on living within humans since their family lived in a forest until she met one vampire from other clan and they became fast friends. The little Joyeuse was a cheerful and generous vampire, she is also open to any things the other do. She did learned soem things with her friend and it builds up her own self, as who she is.

At the age of 20, Joyeuse was then became a woman with her own rights but still keeping her virtues from her own house. however, her father knew about her having a friend from other clan which would led to an ambush. She then tries to save her mother but it was too late, she was turned to ashes by her only friend. joyeuse felt betrayed and broken as her friend killed her dear mother. She couldn't feel anything but hatred and sorrow, Joyeuse and her friend fought for hours. She had gotten the courage to use brute force and violence but she ended up get slit on by a dagger then Joyeuse fell down. Her own family went to ashes but not her, fortunately, her friend let her live again.

Since Baudelaire used to feed blood on animals their regenerative abilities were slow, so as Joyeuse. It took three days for her to completely recover from throat slit, at that moment she couldn't remember what happened to her but then she realized, her friend's clan obliterated her house. Killing every single one of the Baudelaires but not Joyeuse, she spared her life for the life of many. She felt the strong thirst inside her that she almost went insane until she find herself a man's blood that night. It was her first time to drink a human's blood where it tasted delicious than animal blood but she sinned and she will sin again.

When she became a century old, she had the chance to kill her old friend. They fought once again but then Joyeuse knows how to fight and outmatched her friend, the enemy begged to spare her but she told her... 

"No, I am not going to make the same mistake as you do." 

Then Joyeuse decapitated her friend by cutting its head clean. Now the bounty for her head became much larger as she killed the clan head's advisor. She then fled to their country and stayed to other place, but the vampire who works as mercenaries did not stop until they got her head.

Joyeuse is one of the last standing rare blood living in the earth. She did managed to survived all the horrible years in her life especially when her whole clan was killed by other clan, Joyeuse then changed her name into Sooyoung when she moved to the kingdom of Goryeo in the late 1500s to hide from those who has been hunting her for years, knowing that she is the only one from her clan. Living as a beautiful merchant by day and a blood creature by night.

When modern era came, she changed her name from Joyeuse Elize de Baudelaire to Park Sooyoung so that vampire mercenaries would not chase her again. She now founded her own company of Wine named 'Red Water Industry' where they make exclusive blood wine for vampires and occasionally for humans who wants to drink the fine wine she made for them.

Sooyoung is a competent vampire who will do what it takes to win it, an open-minded person who is always up for new ideas, she stayed calm as it is when the situation go unexpected, She is also persuasive as she really wanted or needed for her the certain things for her life or her business. She's also fearless, crucifix or holy water, it could burn her skin but not her courage and determination.

She can be also a bit bossy when it comes to work and her business, arrogant when she feels about winning something, she can also be selfish when she got what she wanted, she is also has a trait of a fox, sly and devious and lastly, apathetic, whe does not care of other human or vampire's feelings unless it is someone she care or know for a long time.
