Soohyuk was born into an upper-middle-class family, which granted him enough privilege to live well.
his father was the CEO of an internationally well-known company and his mother was mostly a house-wife and mother. they were rather wealthy which allowed him to
study in a good school eventually getting to take a degree abroad where he was approached by a modeling company. he took the part-time job simply for the money and experience with no intention of becoming a model.

despite studying to take over his father's business, working as a model came more naturally to him and soon enough he was requested to work for important brands. this got him to acknowledge his own talent and he decided to dedicate his life to modeling while leaving his older brother to take his father's place.
his family didn't question his choice since he worked for high fashion brands and well-known brands, but there was still one thing they had a say in. his marriage.

soohyuk was never one to pay much attention to 'love'. everything else just seemed to take on a more important role in his life. his family. his career. achieving his own personal goals. all of it came way before 'love'. sure he had some girlfriends in the past, but it was not something he ever though of as 'for life'.
and that's why, at the age of 25, his parents thought it was best to find him a wife. just for the sake of looks.
he ended up getting married to the daughter of one of his father's acquaintances who was of a slightly lower class and a bit younger than him. despite it being an arranged marriage, they got along just fine. they were both allowed to see other people as long as they could keep it hidden as to not look bad in society.
