History / about

It was in the midst of a losing battle that Taeyong was brought to existence. Pitch Black wanted to hurt Jack Frost in the worst way possible, so he did one of the things an unstable person would do, he took a piece of Jack’s soul and created it into a nightmare spirit. His sole purpose had been to hurt his father in the worst way possible but Pitch lost and fled, leaving Taeyong behind to Jack who pleaded with the man in the moon to help him. He took mercy on the two, undoing most of the nightmare embedded in the shard of soul yet couldn’t return it to Jack fully for fear of corruption. That is when Taeyong was reformed to a half-human, half spirit infant to be raised by the guardian that he had been pulled from.

Jack Frost did the best to care and raise a child amongst all his other duties as a guardian, so he was often left to be watched over by the other guardians who weren’t busy or could take him along on safer missions as he grew up. There was always a fear that Taeyong would revert to his original form, complimented by the short events where he’d lose control of his emotions and end up releasing nightmare sand. But his father always had faith in him and continued to try his best to shower him with as much attention as well as lessons about humanity as he could.

As he grew older, his father’s presence started to show up less and less until he was on his own. It didn’t really affect him as much as he thought, he still loved the guardian with his whole heart but he was glad for the opportunity to be independent. Sometimes he’ll hear whispers and the shifting of shadows along walls that he steadfastly ignores with fear in his heart. Taeyong hopes to never disappoint his father with a relapse but the passage of others from the other side has his heart racing in anxiety that his other side will be uncovered and pulled to the surface..

Personality / Quirks

personality junk bright, curious and caring. He's a lot more soft spoken then others but he can be quite blunt, since he doesn't take any crap from anybody. generally he's just an observant bystander and only gets involved in situations that get out of control if he needs to. that doesn't mean he doesn't have moments where he contemplates hurting somebody, especially if he feels threatened or somebody he cares about is attacked. he's had a couple of close calls with encounters with people who are supposed to be 'good' and tried to use the nightmare sand on them.
