Being born to two aspiring photographers, Taehyung was raised from an early age to admire the beauty of the world around him. At first glance people would only notice his handsome features, the dashing smile he would flash in passing, the brightly colored locks of hair atop his head, or even a glimpse of the shining bright dangling earrings he always wore out. It would take a carefully trained eye to notice his cynical stare, or even more hidden-- the ugly bruises and scars from his artwork. Taehyung was not a normal man dispute his rather happy upbringing.
Taehyung had an obsession for the beauty behind death since he was a child. Though the fascination started after reading a gory novel in secret, it soon morphed into the photography and writing of the death of animals. Capturing a photo of a mauled deer, a hit squirrel… or even killing the animal itself soon wasn't enough. So Taehyung began to harm himself and track the art on canvas, in a red shade that was suspiciously similar to blood. That soon came to an end when he nearly killed himself after drawing too much blood, but rather than stop the dangerous practices…
he had his biggest idea.
There had been whispered rumor about the tales of vampires, humans gone wild with the need for power, the lust for the avoidance of the unavoidable daunting nature of death. people who drink the blood of the living in order to sustain their immortality-- whispered even lower than those rumors were the gossips of bloodslaves. a position of which would only be taken by a human, willing or not. the idea of being preyed upon- taken advantage of and used by those who would appreciate and love the beautiful blood that pumped through his veins brought on a whole newfound obsession.
and so he started small- offering himself along the streets of england, for little to no price at all. a handsome face, well kept body, and rare strain of blood in exchange for a few coins and the pleasure of a sickened mind. this continued on for an entire year, the male living in lavish- loving his new life despite his parents newfound disgust for what their son had become. he was lingering around the docks one night, looking for a sailor who frequented his neck when he spotted him. a broad, muscular man who looked every bit as much of a vampire as the other men he spent his time with. this one seemed particularly enticing as he strode confidently from the ship, heavy boots carefully picking their way along the gangplank.
He was a pirate-- and taehyung wanted him. and so the boy abandoned his life in wealth for that of a blood slave; he sold his own self to the reaper, giving all his money, high selling artworks and everything he owned in order to chase after his next goal... he wanted the captain.
