Marcell usually gives off a light-hearted, sweet and rather hyper when relaxed but can become incredibly serious when he deems it necessary. One of his biggest strengths as well as weaknesses is his idealism, kind-hearted and maternal instincts that when combined can lead him to doing something incredibly stupid due to his self-sacrificing tendencies. He is also quite flirty, usually using it as a way to lighten the mood when not in immediate danger.

Marcell grew up in a wealthy but abusive household with his mother, father, his older brother and his little brother. His mother, who was the only family member who had ever shown him unconditional love died when he was young, leaving him to take care of his baby brother but on the day of the outbreak, his little brother died as hell. Distraught, Marcell tried to think of what to do, leading to him taking his dad's weapons, money and supplies before running away as his father and brother fought off the zombies. Since then, he lived and scavenged on his own.
