Jaebum was born into a middle-class family, his mother owns a small restaurant and his father is a retired police officer who now helps with the restaurant. Jaebum was a good kid most of his life, but in high school he got caught up in the wrong crowd and rebelled such as shoplifting, getting into fights, skipping school and running away from home a few times. His father gave him an ultimatum, clean up his act or he would throw him in a jail cell.

jaebum cleaned up his act and studied hard to graduate high school. He worked at his family's restaurant as a delivery boy but got into trouble when he tried to stop a kid from being bullied. When his father found out what had really happened, he handed Jaebum a pamphlet that was filled with the process on how to become a police officer. At first, jaebum was hesitant but eventually realized he could make a difference in people's lives by becoming a police officer. At the moment, he's assigned to a  case that involves a criminal that calls himself Tractatori, which is Latin for the manipulator. He's been stealing from various museums throughout the city. Jaebum has yet to encounter the criminal in person but soon he will.

Past life-huang minjoon, criminal. Kidnapped min joongchan, a prince and held him for ransom. Overtime minjoon started to have feelings for joongchan and then the same thing happened to joongchan. Minjoon released joongchan so he could return home. Joongchan refused and the two of them ending up eloping. They lived and loved for the longest time, growing old together and dying in each others arms.
