Hoseok grew up being abused daily by his father, usually being locked in a closet most days. His mother abandoned him at age 12, leaving him to suffer at the hands of his father. It wasn't until he had graduated high school that he was able to get away and never look back. His escape was going to college to become a teacher but found a different calling when he took a jewelry-making class an elective. He transferred to a different college and began to study the arts.  Because of how expensive his tuition was, Hoseok worked as a star for a few years, finally quitting after he graduated college.
He expected to do well in jewelry making but it was hard to get his name out, so he worked an for a short time to make money until a man named Mr. shin contacted him and asked him if he wanted to be an apprentice for his jewelry company. He quit his job and took the offer, he stayed and worked with the man for three years.
As a 24th birthday present, Mr shin, whom Hoseok thought of as a father, bought him a store and even paid a large amount of money for advertisement as well as a booth at a jewelry designer convention. It was there that he was noticed and the next thing he knew, he had 100's of orders spilling in for his jewelry, he'd made it.
 

Fast forward 3 years and he found out about a website called Build-A-Boyfriend, the location of BAB was only given to those serious in the company and Hoseok thought, why not. He didn't expect to fall for multiple people, first, it was Kim Seokjin, then Han Jisung and Kim Jungwoo, he'd even had a slight thing for Han Seungwoo and Do Hanse at one point but it was shut down pretty quickly. During his time at BAB, Hoseok had quite a few incidents, such as excessive drinking and blacking out, getting into fights, breaking down, and reverting to his past child self because of his trauma. What put him over the edge was when his mother contacted him about his father's death and asking him to come to which he didn't and thus had a really bad breakdown. Part of it was because of heartache and the other was finding out the person that had traumatized him was now gone. He finally decided to put himself in rehab and stayed there for two weeks before coming out a completely different person. For now, all he wants to do is turn over a new leaf, have fun, and become a better person than he was.
