july 14th, 1999.

that was the day that the lee family welcomed the first of their next generation, the first grandchild into their family. it was the day that lee yeoreum was born. 

big were the feasts that the family threw in celebration of the baby girl that was born and the family partied into the night with her grandparents eagerly telling the world that the future heiress was born. it was simply the most wonderful time, filled with laughter and cheer. her grandparents flew even the most distant of relatives into the country for the celebration. yes, it was to that extent. that's how big of an arrival lee yeoreum made even before she was even a month old.

strict. disciplined. precise.

that was how the lee family raised the young girl, that was how they taught her to see the world. everything needed to be precise, no mistakes were allowed or the consequences would be severe. yeoreum had to face being locked into her room for days at a time at the smallest mistake she made and as time went on, she learned how to pretend to be the perfect sunshiney girl that her family wanted her to be. 

Bad grades were simply out of the question. 

"if you do badly, you can forget about coming home."

Those were the exact words that her mother had told her right before her first exam. that resulted in fear being rooted quite deeply within her. she wasn't willing to be thrown out of her house, that was simply horrifying even if she was to just imagine it. 

because of that, yeoreum worked hard and it resulted in her scoring the highest marks in every single exam, putting her in that unbeatable spot above everyone else in school. 

of course, unlike most, she wasn't bullied in school. she was known as the school's flower, the perfect girl who could do anything and have anything she wanted. 

Deep down, that wasn't what she wanted. if anything, she was tired, exhausted from needing to live so carefully. it was no lie, that because of her upbringing she learned to be organized and learned how to manage her own time as carefully and as precisely as she could.

15, 15 years old.

that was the age that yeoreum met the man who eventually turned her whole life upside down. he was charming with his humor, his intelligence, his kindness, and his soul. she fell in love and that was pretty much a big taboo in the lee family.

they saw it as a distraction, that she wouldn't be able to focus on what should be important for her and so, they flew her to another country as soon as they saw the chance to. 

young yeoreum at the raw age of 15 was flown out to beijing all by herself. she was given a huge penthouse, a butler, her own bodyguard, and her driver but that was it. she was still alone.  

there she lived until she turned 20.

university.

even her major, the young girl wasn't allowed to choose. her true passion lied within marine biology, yet her family pushed for her to study business. unlike any other time, however, yeoreum fought. 

she fought to study medicine. although it wasn't marine biology, it was better than nothing. oddly enough, her parents agreed but on one condition -- they had to pick the university for her. 

so begins her journey in haneul university.

uptight, straightforward, blunt, doesn't really know how to express her emotions, strict, hardworking, bold, unmaterialistic, hates wasting her time, stubborn, short tempered.

deep down, she's actually a sweetheart, someone who wishes for the world to be happy and for world hunger to end. she resorted to medical science so that she can go other pathlogy and discover a cure for cancer. (hopefully.)

likes

bullet journals - it helps her keep track of her stuff.

white - she's well aware that it's not a colour per say but it's still the one colour she likes her things to be since it emits clean vibes.

freedom - she wishes she had some freedom but sadly, you can't have everything you ask for.

being organized - she can't stand mess whether it be lifestyle or her things. she feels the need to be organized in every single detail. call it ocd if you want.

christmas - despite her uptight nature, the one day she lets herself relax is on christmas eve and christmas day. 

rules - she believes it's there for a system and a system is needed in order for things to be proper. 

dislikes

laziness - she can't stand people who are lazy. in her opinion, they're wasting time. 

mess - basically an ocd at this point. she can't stand messy surroundings. 

loud places - her ears are sensitive so it gives her a really bad headache. 

noisy people - same reason as the above.

people asking to copy her homework - she believes that homework is given for a reason, which is to help you learn so instead of letting them copy, she opts for teaching them.

cheaters - it doesn't matter what kind of cheater. cheater are cheaters. cheating isn't tolerated well by her.

being reminded of /him/ - secret. 

valentine's day - she hates anything that reminds her of him and valentine's day does just that. 

being accused for things - she hates having actions pushed onto her and having words shoved into . it's just disrespectful.

having to repeat herself - she finds it really annoying. like were you paying attention at all?

having to explain herself - she'd rather let you believe what you want to believe. she literally won't try to change your thoughts and beliefs about her.
