For the Night is Dark
and Full of Terrors.
When I gaze into the flames, I can see through stone and earth, and find the truth within men's souls. I can speak to kings long dead and children not yet born, and watch the years and seasons flicker past, until the end of days.I seek to serve Azor Ahai in his quest against the Great Other.

As one of the Red Priests, Melisandre is compelled to hate all those with Jotun forms on sight. She believes Loki and his children to be White Walkers, forces of the Great Other.
She receives mixed messages about Aleaser however, for the god R'hllor wishes to take Aleaser's body as his form on earth.
Melisandre was born a slave in Essos, and at some point in the past she died, only to be brought back by R'hllor as a wight of fire, the opposite of the wights raised by the Night King, but just as inhuman.
She believes all of the lies surrounding Loki's reign, save for the foundational lie of Loki being Rhaegar's twin. He is a White Walker in her eyes.
