Description
I am good, but not an angel. I do sin, but I am not the devil. I am just a small girl in a big world trying to find someone to love.
“People aren’t always what you want them to be. Sometimes they disappoint you or let you down, but you have to give them a chance first. You can’t just meet someone and expect them to be everything you’re looking for and then be angry when they’re not every hope and aspiration you projected onto them. It’s foolish to believe that someone will be what you imagine them to be. And sometimes, when you give them a chance, they turn out to be better than you imagined. Different, but better.”
Born in the poorest neighborhood in Tokyo, Momo was the most unwanted child ever existing. Her parents were alcoholics terminated their parental rights by the time she turned three years old. The next things she remembers are orphanages and new families. She was returned like an unneeded puppy when she didn't fit the new family's expectations or standards. She grew up without her mother's warmth and affection, without friends, but being constantly returned as if she was an object. This factor just made her close up from the outer world. Little Momo was introverted and timid, a child who barely escaped a sound and played by herself with a broken doll the other orphanage kids didn't want anymore.
The world is unfair. People that want kids can't have them; and those who have them, don't want them. One day a lady that was in her forties visited the orphanage. You could tell she was wealthy by the way she was dressed, her satin dress combined perfectly with her gray dyed hair. She was beautiful, elegant like she walked out of the 20s of the last century. The lady was apparently alone for her whole life and intended to adopt a baby. Momo was the only one who didn't jump on her, she was an anxious child, afraid of adults. She remained silent in the corner of the room, pulling her dirty dress to her scratched knees. The lady approached Momo, looked in her eyes, and saw the same undying sadness. They needed each other to fill in the blank space in their hearts.
As she later found out, her new mother was a ballet master and Momo was extremely fascinated by her skills and stoicism. The young Momo showed interest in dancing, and she was outstanding among the other kids because of her flexibility. Her icon became her mother and it was the moment when she knew what her life goal was. Her mother taught her a lot, built her to be an exquisite ballerina that would make people hold their breathes whenever she stood up on her toes. The relationship between her mother and her was incredible; she was given the love and support she never had before. From the day she was adopted, Momo became the swan that was dying but flying high.
