i do not mind writing starters; at all. I tend to write a lot, 3rd, para to multipara, but I can restrain myself too. I am up for any styles but I can't plot romance. It happens or it doesn't. if you need a baekje knight to the rescue, Jisoo would do the job, but keep in mind that I prefer if we plot a little. pms are appreciated

None of the trees of the garden is as big to a ladybug as knowledge is to Baekje, his mom had told a young boy who was nothing like he'd grow to be. He was gaya at heart, no smile was free and no full stop was the end of the story. Tricks were the normal way to be, words a legoworld to get whatever he wanted from people. And how people fell weakly for a pretty boy's smile. Jisoo looked back all the way from his father's big farm to the Baekje established home of his mother. The road wasn't so long between the two houses, a clevage only in the minds but a rift in Jisoo's memory.

And it's lonely, embracing knowledge and logic. Jisoo learns it fast but he was never one to give up. Relentlessly plunging himself into the dusty books, he made friends for life: silence and patience. Because the boasty childhood was left at his Gaya father's home and even the friends he used to play with he barely met anymore. Baekje's libraries have the power to reshape a being, or Jisoo was just made to be this pliant. What is the use in fighting a giant when he knows he can adapt. He wears logic like a tailored suit, closed himself to what a Gaya life could have been if not for the letters from his childhood best friend. With maturity, comes the hard truth of his relocation. Affairs, feelings getting in the way of a conventional family and Jisoo slowly rejects the concept of emotions for how destructive they can be. If it wasn't for feelings, he would know how it is to have friends, life long friends. So feelings and emotions become the one area he finds no interest in. His best friend, no matter how intimate they get, remains a friend, and Jisoo lets his loyalty to knowledge, to Baekje, define him.

Knights wear those uniforms, the dignity and apparent passivity he admired from the youngest age. Knights think of duty first, they don't get swayed by emotions. They are the sword of a clan and it's all Jisoo wants to be. The opposite of what broke his parents apart, the opposite of what separated him from what he used to be. Jisoo learns oh so much in books about defense, tactics, history. The knight culture absorbed him and he felt himself drifting away from what used to be his priorities. He did not fight to keep his friends close, he did not try to make new ones and kept logic and knowledge dearest. He is brilliant, the general consortium of teachers and instructors never deviated from this conclusion. But it is lonely at the top and duty, no matter how good it may pay in praises, medals or actual figures on a bank account, does not keep warm at night. He is starting to realize it, but his righteousness has set himself on a lonely trajectory he can hardly deflect from. The love for his cause, a Baekje King, is a sleep-depriving concern that keeps Jisoo up rather than to lay, alone with thoughts. He nudges his chosen Prince into the right direction by guarding him znd sticking his nose when the occasions call for his intervention, because he intimately believes the best hopes for the country lays in Prince Wonwoo's access to the throne and it is all that the knight believes in. The rest must remain superflu.

hanbyeol/jeonghan (gaya) - childhood friend is dead in the ground, according to public records. He still finds his best friend alone at times; Jisoo learnt if you wait long enough oil and water will always part. unless an emulsifier comes into the mix. and he knows it will, like he knows the sun sets at the end of the day: someone will marry both half some day. Visiting the grave of his friend will become his reality, some day.

Hyunjin (silla) - a prince he likes to question and one of the few people he trusts in the kingdom for the lack of an agenda. tbc

Jeongyeon (goguryeo) - she was him and he was her, she was his and he was hers. Jisoo never met someone who understood duty lile he does and for this, they were perfect. Until she was too perfect for him to still be efficient to Baekje. He picked the clan and broke up without a chance for discussion. Years went by but thinking back he has amends to make.tbc
