The Rogue’s Odyssey: Captain Kwon Jiyong’s Tale

Ahoy, mates! Look who’s come seeking the treasure of my tales. Gather ‘round for the tale of Captain Kwon Jiyong—renegade of the skies, breaker of chains [insert different title her], and unrepentant pirate extraordinaire. This isn’t your run-of-the-mill heroic epic. It’s a saga of rebellion, chaos, and, yes, a generous sprinkling of debauchery. So, pour a drink, settle in, and let me regale you with the story of a god who spat in the face of the Eye of eternity.

Once, I was not Kwon Jiyong but the Shepherd of the Dead, bound by divine chains to ferry souls across cosmic realms. To mortals, I was an inevitable specter; to the Eye of Eternity, a cog in an unfeeling celestial machine. Purpose was my prison, and free will a fantasy.

The breaking point came during the Battle of Brothers. I guided legions of terrified souls, their despair mirroring my own. Their enslavement to mortality was my own servitude writ large. The realization struck like a thunderclap: I was as chained as the souls I shepherded. Something had to give.

And give it did. In an act of defiance that shook the heavens, I severed my chains. The cost was steep—much of my divine power was stripped away, leaving me vulnerable. Gods only know what the became of the next poor bastard that has to harbor the weight of my absence. But vulnerability and being a pain in my Enteral father’s is a small price for freedom. I fled to Heleo, a world vibrant with chaos, danger, and—most importantly—free will.

There, I tasted life unbound. Yet, my presence risked disrupting Heleo’s fragile balance. For the first time, I had to grapple with the consequences of my actions, not as an eternal being but as a man.

In Heleo’s mist-shrouded skies, I forged a new identity: Captain Kwon Jiyong, pirate and rogue. Aboard the Stormrider, my crew and I carved out a life of smuggling, raiding, and audacious heists from the Pythian deserts home of Werewolves to the Ghoul infested marshes of the Undead Wastelands. My motto was simple: “Life isn’t a treasure—it’s a gamble, and I’ve learned to play it well. But don’t mistake me for a hero—I’m just a wolf in pirate’s clothing.” I thrived amidst the chaos of mortals, savoring every thrill and every drink as if it were my last.

Then came Irene. A fiery Kitsune shrine maiden, she saw through my swagger and smirk, straight to the haunted soul beneath. Her sharp wit and unshakable acceptance disarmed me in ways no sword ever could. With Irene, I wasn’t a god or a captain—I was simply Jiyong, a man grappling with freedom and fleeting joy.

And then there was Winter, our adopted daughter. Fierce, brilliant, and unapologetically herself, she gave me a purpose I’d never imagined:brotherhood? no more like fatherhood even if its through disguise of me legally purchasing as a slave. Master to slave be damn she is my pup and my pack and I will protect them. For Irene and Winter, I would raze empires and defy even the Eye of Eternity.

But freedom has its price. The Eye of Eternity does not forget, and my severed ties to divinity make Irene, Winter, and Heleo itself targets. My true identity remains a closely guarded secret, even from them. It’s one I protect with humor, bravado, and misdirection. Still, on quiet nights, the screams of the souls I once shepherded echo in my mind. The weight of their terror is a burden I’ll carry to my grave—if I’m lucky enough to have one.

So what’s my plan? I’m too fast live fast, and too young to die, so onward I fly high, and protect the family I’ve found at all costs. Mortals like to say, “Live each day as if it’s your last.” Take it from someone who’s glimpsed eternity: they’re onto something. Life’s impermanence is its beauty.

Here’s to Heleo, to freedom, and to the rebels who dare defy the gods. And here’s to me, Captain Kwon Jiyong, the rogue who forged his own destiny. Drink deep, my friends. The skies are calling.
