Heavy usage of darkness control will turn back against him, which restricts his breathing and inflicts major disarray to his mental state. this can cause him to become hostile to anyone around him until he's knocked unconcious by overextertion.

umbra kinetic constructs - uses darkness to construct weapons and armour that spike up and off the ground (uses mass amounts of energy with little impact on mental state)
dimensional travel - surrounds the user in shadows, allowing them to teleport a short distance (side effect is a splitting headache)
light absorption - consumes sources of light to enhance powers temporarily (uses a lot of energy and affects mental state a lot)
night vision - able to see clearly in the dark (passive)
Warning: currently in the midst of learning darkness mutation. this allows mingyu to take on a more demonic form. appearance wise, sharp wings grow out of his back and his body gets covered by temporary armour. most of his face is blocked of by shadows and all his abilities are heightened. though he can only stay in this form for an hour before he passes out.
