Description
strategy without tactics is the slowest route to victory. tactics without strategy is the noise before defeat.
i'm very flexible when it comes to rp-ing and i usually mirror m partners' preferences. however, it mostly depends on my muse for the plot at hand
i am generally a busy person so feel free to poke me when i take longer than 2 days to reply. i am currently having my exams, though, so if we are doing literate povs, it might take awhile fo rme to reply.
my povs are usually 1st script or 3rd lit. i never use 2nd script unless it's the only thing my rp partner is comfortable with.
it was siwan's family's legacy to serve the goguryeo household for generations. it was as if the im family and the long lines of royalties that hailed from the aforementioned house could never stand alone without the other. hence, this family of butlers and handmaidens were what they considered to be one of the pillars of their house. that, of course, was not announced so openly. after all, the im family was nothing next to the glorious presence of the royals of goguryeo.
siwan was the eldest among his siblings. he was expected to succeed his father for the title of head butler. however, that was not what he wanted. for years, he had tried to convince his parents that he'd rather be a knight, that he'd rather serve the house more actively than just being a mere butler. but what can he do? his father always had the upper hand and reluctantly, siwan finished his training without any more questions.
still, even if he was the supposed heir to that position, his father was still very much alive. the man's dreams weren't shut down even if his pleas were ignored for so many years. thus, at the age of 24, after serving the house of goguryeo for an ample amount of time after training, the boy decided to leave home - temporarily - to join an intelligence agency in the detinu kingdom. he had hoped to train himself in some ways that butler-hood could not provide him.
the man has spent a good 6 years in the agency, has gone through hell and back during missions. he thought he wouldn't be leaving until he reaches 35 or even 40 - or when he's ripe enough to come back home and take his father's place.
however, it seems that fate thought otherwise.
siwan was not supposed to be involved in the commotion. the man was just out for his daily groceries when the incident had happened. a man had taken someone hostage in a meager jewelry store across the street. perhaps, it was his instinct as a an agent who had lived on adrenaline for so many years that had him rushing to the poor lady's aid. he had caught the perpetrator by surprise, yes, but it cost him an ear, rendering him permanently deaf on his left side.
needless to say, siwan was dismissed from active service and was given compensation by both the agency and the government. he was offered a seat in the office as a liaison officer, as well. however, having been up to date with aerokian news made him decide that he's needed - not by his father but by the royals he had served from childhood.
alas, duty called forth his homecoming.
siwan, although in his early thirties, doesn't act like his age. he's carefree and can hold his alcohol far better than the alcoholics in his team back in nodnol. needless to say, he seems to be enjoying the remaining years of his youth, having lost it after spending most of his time in training as a butler. despite that, he's highly organized and is a critical thinker. even without the help of a memo, siwan can go about his day with ease, accomplishing tasks quicker than most people. he'd like to think that he owes that to his upbringing but it seems that his time in the agency served to better him, as well.
the man is one of the most loyal people to the house of goguryeo even if he had turned his back on his family to achieve his childhood dream. even so, he had spent his days catching up on aerokian news to get updates while he was working as an intelligence agent.
