Explosion — the generation fiery shock waves that are highly powerful and destructive, produced through excretion of nitroglycerin like sweat from the user's palms.

Abilities in generating explosions are limited to weather conditions, as they take longer to detonate in colder weather as opposed to warmer weather. When it comes to propelling herself towards her enemy, she can only go up to 20 feet.

Prone to throbing pain in the arms and shoulders after repeated use. An increased risk in injury (and maybe blowing her limbs of) occurs if she uses both arms to create an explosion.

although hyunjin never lacked in intelligence, her blank stare led everyone to believe she was some enigma. how can someone with the immense fiery power and potential energy built up in them live with the lack of luster in their eyes. ever since she was born, she stood out like a sore thumb among her family. her two older brothers were quirkless, so they didn't have to bear the burden of being responsible for the world's fate. why is she the one, out of all the offspring in her family, to be struck with this curse?

even worse, it was a curse that segued to her separation from her family. a memory flashes back; her infant, stubby fingers reach out to her parents, drops of nitroglycerin emit from her hands as she babbles. her parents were being captured by what looked like police officers.

"suddenly, an incredibly loud explosion was heard rumbling behind them, sounding like someone dropped a mountain from the clouds. it was a deep reverberating that continued."

maybe it wasn't as large as she remembered it to be, but the pieces of driftwood and containers erupting in flames will always be etched in her memory. from then on, she lived her life in and out of the confinements of her grandma's home. her older siblings moved on to their pedestrian lives. and throughout her teenages years, in her search of normalcy, she got entangled with delinquency, which at the time appeared to be normal teenage behavior. the person she could've became with her parent's guidance, seemed too far fetched to be true. supposedly being with her grandma would have filled the  void of being taken care of her supposed guardians, but it was safe that she went too far in the deep end.

fast foward to present, hyunjin was enrolled to nha (new heroes academy), where she was gifted with an opportunity for redemption. she only really had herself to teach herself restraint of her quirk; maybe an external source can help her use it for the "good of the people" or more vapid words to compel her into heroism.

it really doesn't matter to her as long as she distracts herself from the banalities of life and its endless hurdles.
