A practicing dark magician for fourteen years in this life, Lee Siyeon has narrowly escaped persecution for her religious beliefs and natural gifts since the ripe age of eight. In fact, her religious beliefs stemmed from her powers that began to develop around the age of three, where intense nightmares eventually engulfed Siyeon's waking reality into that of the spirit realm, to which at any time she or they could attempt to communication with her. It wasn't until six years of age did her god-fearing parents take note of her capabilities, as they began to grow in numerous ways. 

Under the duress of living with her gifts coupled with her brother's sadistic tendencies, her powers were like a pressure cooker, as she found herself the savior to her brother's serial killer complex. Everytime he stole a life, she would fall to tears upon finding it -- and she was always the first to find it -- but then her tears would fall onto the animal, and it would somehowbreathe new life into it.

The young girl learned she could control life force energy -- she can manipulate souls, and talk to them on any plane of existence. But of course this came with a bad side; as she was always caught in the worst of times by her most fearsome parents; bible-thumping, ignorant farmers being accusatory of heresy whenever she brought back life. Lashings were her punishment -- as if it was the 1800s again. But she grew to learn how to escape it, astral-projecting into other realms to occupy her time and keep distracted. That was actually how she became a High Priestess of Azazel, the fallen angel who was said to have been the teacher who taught man how to be gods, which of course was the reason his wings got clipped in the first place. 

When working with souls, you sometimes come across demons, which is how she met her mentor and patron, Azazel. They have held a partnership for over a decade, with them filling in as her guardian figure around the age of 10, only stepping in when she needed it most. He's the one who encouraged her to run away from her parents at such a young age, and before he more recently became less present in her life on a day to day basis, he's now ushered her to find a coven or school for people who were similar to her. And so that she did. Little do they know.
