the eldest in a family of three children, dongwook hasn't had it that easy.

back when he was younger, his family hadn't exactly been the most well off. there were many days in which his parents struggled to pay for their children's education, and dongwook took it upon himself to work part time jobs at a young age of 10. he'd never really earned much money, but his parents appreciated it nonetheless. see, his youngest sister was autistic, which meant that a lot of his parents' attention was focused on her. things got more and more difficult as the children grew up, but it just so happened that dongwook was lucky enough to have been born to a loving family. they may not have had everything, but they had each other, and so dongwook grew up as a relatively optimistic young man.

when the opportunity for college came along, dongwook immediately knew that he wanted to take the path to becoming a psychiatrist. his youngest sister, although well adjusted, had experienced many bumps in the road that was her life, and as much as possible, dongwook wanted to help guide those that were experiencing troubles similar to hers. as such, his stellar grades got him a scholarship to a good university, where he pursued psychiatry as his as an occupation for quite some time.

dongwook became a licensced psychiatrist at the age of twenty eight, and quickly rose to be quite popular in his field. however, life didn't turn out to be all sunshine and daisies. his younger brother, lee taemin, died on the battlefield. even now, years later, dongwook still lives with that grief. he often travels abroad for medical conventions, and even tends to some members of royalty as their official psychiatrist. he often visits his parents and his siblings, remaining as the doting eldest son of the lee family.
