Xiaoye 小夜 Chambers || Yinyue 银月 || Silver Moon || 18 (tells everyone she's 20) || 'Human' (unknowingly 1/4 jiaoren) || 150cm / 4'11" || GMT+8
Fluent in English, mostly fluent in Mandarin Chinese
Xiaoye was born after the great businessman Egbert Chambers' fourth wife died in childbirth and he took a fancy to a young Chinese woman name Mei Xing that had come to Britain with her uncle. Barely 6 months later Egbert and Mei Xing were married and expecting a child.
Having had many children already, Egbert allowed his wife to name the child and had very little to do with the child until a burglary occurred in their home with Mei Xing being gravely wounded and dying soon after. Egbert was devastated and took more of an interest in his then 4 year old daughter. He allowed Mei Xing's sister, Mei Lien, to take an active role in Xiaoye's life, allowing Mei Lien to look after her whilst he was away, where Mei Lien taught Xiaoye all about flowers and their medicinal and poisonous properties, very rarely enforcing the rules and manners that young noblewoman were expected to abide by.
When Xiaoye turned 15 her father ended up killed in yet another burglary gone wrong, and around the same time Mei Lien vanished.
With her father and aunt now gone, Xiaoye was entrusted to her oldest brothers care. Bertram was already in his 30s and settling down to have his own family and didn't particularly care to have a troublesome 15 year old in his life. He attempted to force her to behave the way that he wanted, though once she turned 16 and showed no signs of 'improving' Bertram was tired. He arranged for her to be sent to a finishing school, and upon finding out this information, Xiaoye fled.
Now Xiaoye lives in London in a modest building with several beds. Here she operates a shelter and clinic.for all those who need it. Those that can't afford to pay for the services are required to fetch flowers, plants or valuable information that Xiaoye might be able to use.
Most people don't know her real name, instead knowing her as either Yinyue or Silver Moon instead of Xiaoye.
