Hundreds of years later, another Winterbourne was born and they named her Eristia Vermilla Winterbourne. Traditionally, their bloodline must be preserved with another vampire blood. But, Robert Winterbourne XIII chose to love a human who was a french woman named Hestia Rouge and married her. However, Hestia died after giving birth to Vermilla, who never even see her real mother as she grew up. Robert loved Vermilla as she resembles her mother and taught her things about being a Winterbourne and a human as she was born a half-vampire.

Vermilla was a quiet and kind girl, she used to read a lot of books and scrolls from her father's library. She used to play with her father until she turned 20 where her human genes stops growing and her vampiric genes took over and stops aging, this also change her personality into an ambitious and devious vampire as she was the heiress of their clan. She planned to revive the traditions of Winterbourne on helping the humans to fight for the better world.

However, Vermilla's plan had stopped when her father introduced her to her younger brother who is more of a purebred than her. Her brother's existence threatens her position as the heiress but she expect that her father will still choose her. But fate is being a playful bunch, Robert Winterbourne XIII inherited her brother most of his inheritance than her daughter which angers Vermilla. Her brother has more plans to conquer Europe, bring other vampire clans to his knees and to make humans as their blood bank and slaves.

Vermilla couldn't do anything after her father's passing, her half-brother has more power than her and wanting all of the riches on this world. She had no control over the Winterbourne household and her brother banished her from their mansion. Vermilla swears that she will take everything that is rightfully hers for the betterment of Winterbourne and the people that had ties with her clan.

She then resides the city of London and with the money she left, Vermilla owns one building and turn it into a brothel as it is the only place that London doesn't have. For the rest of her life, no one knows or even seen Vermilla's face for 50 years until she suddenly shows herself and masks herself as Vermilla Rouge, replacing her surname as her mother's. She lives peacefully within her place and when someone she didn't know discovers her real identity, she will no doubt turn him or her into one before erasing his or her memories so that no evidence would be lying on the ground.

People never doubted Vermilla as she pretends to be her own granddaughter in the painting and fabricated her certificates to show that she's a human. However, Vermilla continues to help humans in the mean time before she could plan to take her brother's throne for her.
