As an imp, Hyunjin was usually under domination of a master, at first they were darker entities that lived in the depths of the underworld, until some unfortunate events had spit Hyunjin's contained being in a crystal bottle on the surface of the Earth, where he was found by sorcerers. He caused havoc with his mischievous pranks whenever he was let out of the crystal bottle. Only later did the wizards and witches realize that he wasn't a harmful, evil entity, but rather a misunderstood one. Hyunjin was recognized as an imp contained in a crystal bottle that would grant the owner their every wish, but their soul would be sent to Hell if they didn't hand Hyunjin down to a new owner before their death. This went on for years on and on and Hyunjin started to get bored doing the same wishes of the mellow wizards and witches. In the end, out of sheer boredom, he made a glorious escape to the human village. Human's couldn't handle Hyunjin's power and became greedy. Hyunjin loved the ridiculous things humans could wish for, sometimes it was complete nonsense. He enjoyed the fun very much and humans became his favorite masters. However, the less greedy ones had turned Hyunjin's life around completely. One owner, the kindest and smartest, who had never once locked the imp into his prison despite his constant misbehaving and rather treated him like a child, taught him what was good and what was bad, he didn't punish him by locking him in but rather disciplined him. This parental bond between the old man and Hyunjin developed into an act only a mad man would do; the old man handed his ownership of the crystal bottle down to Hyunjin himself. This made Hyunjin the master of himself and became a free spirit. He could wish for anything in the world, but all he wanted was a simple life of his most beloved species. He wished for a disguise that would allow him to move among the beings undetected, afraid that he would be hunted down for wishes by whoever knew his tale. Since his freedom, Hyunjin begun living an almost normal life, counting years since his freedom as his official age. In the memory of his only true father figure, Hyunjin lived a respectful life, earning everything with his own two hands instead of using his own wishes and turned them into devices to pull innocent pranks on people for his entertainment and whoever else found it amusing.
