she was born to a an elite muggle chinese family that is closely related to the changs, but since she was born out of wedlock, she was instead given to the care of her mother's best friend and set off to live in italy with her two (dare i say, filthy rich, both from old money) moms and an older sister (who was constantina pradit's biological daughter from her previous marriage)

it was a very loving family, but her older sister liliana was heavily affected by the divorce (she was super attached to her father but he went to jail for fraud) and she committed suicide when lyle was 7

lyle suffered from ptsd for a while since she grew attached to liliana, and she was sent to therapy for a while

she developed a crippling fear of heights since her sister jumped off a ledge, and to the best of their abilities, constantina and amelie raised her with so, so much love and basically treated her like a princess

so yeah, all the doting from her moms made her super sweet and generous, albeit a little spoiled, and since she was the heir to their joint companies, she didnt have to worry about much things in the world

the hogwarts letter was a shock to all three of them, since her moms didn't really know about her magic lineage and lyle knows next to nothing about her biological parents, but they sent her to hogwarts nonetheless cuz she seemed super interested
