Growing up with this 'title' really shapes your personality. And not necessarily in the way most people would like a young girl to be.
Chrystal grew half in the shadow of her older sister, half in the spotlight of her fame. She was always compared, she learned what it is to be an idol from a very young age, the fame, the fans, all the perks that that brought.
and it didn't help that she was talented herself - she sang beautifully, could dance decently, and to top it all - she had an admirable face. Just like Jessica, she grew up in America and knew english, later on learnt korean and this really cemented her way into the idol world - she was asian-american, her sister was well known, she was pretty, talented.... and very, very spoiled.
Yes, Chrystal is a brat.
A spoiled brat.
She is used to getting what she wants, demanding, bossy, perfectionist, loud-mouth, rude and exasperating.
She will tire you out, she will snide, she will whine.
But she will work hard if she has the right incentive. Which no one yet, including her, is aware of.
She is also used to living the rich life - Dior and Prada, clothes, shoes, perfumes, fancy diners and all the bling.
She is highly unstable, airhead and married her work, but deep down somewhere, beneath the high heels and the rude language, she has a kind soul, that just had to be grounded somehow.
But never ever cut her wings. she will never forgive you.
Her one and only idol is her sister Jessica. She is the only person chrystal has ever looked up to and she fills her heart with so much joy and warmth, you should see her when she thinks about her sister - her face lights up with the smile has helped photographers win competitions.
As per career life - she started out her trainee life in Petal Entertainment.
She was scheduled do debut in a 5-member girl group called Diamond Diva, had promotions set up and ready, teasers were released, photos were shot, MV was recorded and prepared for release--... before the group got disbanded and the company went bankrupt.
Along with some other boys and girls from that company, she continued to look for her dream. Thanks to the, albeit scarce, promotions, she was still recognized and sought after, landing quite a handful of modelling jobs, and even a small supporting role on a k-drama.
This actually helped her realize she craved the spotlight more than the stage. Yes, her talent was still there, but her passion was for the fashion side.
So she took over the runway instead and owned it, had long run of shows after shows and after gaining momentum and popularity, decided to try her hand at styling alongside her sister, branching out with a line called "Je Suis..." - a proverbial nod in the direction of her past group's debut album, which was going to be named "I Am...".
