December 13. That was the night that the youngest of the Guri family was born. She was meant to be another son to the queen. The stars had been in an alignment that showed the ministers that a powerful son was to be born to the pregnant queen. Even her pulse and cravings for sour food had indicated that she was carrying a son so when a daughter was born instead, the queen had been disappointed. 

Aera.

Her father named her after the word 'love', after his undying love for his queen. Despite her being a daughter, he loved her just the same and often times treated her as a son which went against their culture where sons were often preferred. 

Her mother, on the other hand, wasn't quite as loving during the first few months of Aera's life but over time, the newborn baby began to grow on her. To make things even better, her mother saw how the king treated Aera. She saw how he'd bring her with him to his study and she'd seen how he'd try to educate her like a son, both in academics and swordsmanship. Aera was still a fighting chance, a good chess piece for her mother to rely on so she conjured up a plan.

She had to protect even her daughter against the other consorts of the king. Who knew how they truly thought about the girl who was getting such special treatment? What if they attempted to kill her, get rid of her once and for all? The queen knew she'd have to come up with a plan. 

8 years old. 

By the age of 8, Aera was already showing great potential in her studies, her fighting and all other aspects. She was in no way weaker than her brothers. She was just as strong, if not stronger than some. She trained and pushed herself harder than them, knowing she'd have to do as much as she can to prove her worth, even if that meant doing more than her brothers.  

Her mother had oftentimes told her that she was destined for great things, and she wanted her to help her oldest sibling, the crown prince. Aera was to be his most loyal subject and his best chess piece but she wanted more than that, even at that young age. She wanted the crown. She wanted to be the most powerful person in Guri, and eventually the world no matter what it took. 

A chance for Aera to prove herself soon came around. Aera's father had planned for a trip to the hunting grounds and had brought her along and  by then, a few of the consorts and ministers had their eyes on her. They didn't like how she gained the king's favour nor did they like how she stood out against her siblings a little too much so they took action against the 9 years old.  

Aera's horse was drugged and it was meant to throw the young princess off its back. She was meant to be killed but miraculously, she survived. This gave her own mother a chance to make her own chess move. 

It was from that point that Aera faked being sick for long periods of time, depending on medicine to get through the days. Swordsmanship was out of the question, she faked paranoia against horses and her academics gradually worsened to the point that she was failing.  Her father's golden child was gone and instead replaced by a sick, weakling who could barely stand up for herself. 

Although he still loved her, gave her even more of his affection and attention, he changed. He stopped bringing her to his study, stopped bringing her along for trips and needless to say, everyone was relieved - even her mother because it meant that Aera was safe. 

Years passed and soon came the time when the mongolians were planning an attack against the empire. 

Aera was put onto the ship along with her siblings, despite there being protests from the ministers saying that a sick princess would only bring about more trouble. (Her parents wanted to protect her.) Now, she finds herself on an island with opportunities. She could regain her true glory, and she could finally go for the crown with her own effort. She'd never have to bow her head in front of  her brothers or sister again. 

Wang Aera was back, and this time with a plan brewing.

★ important. try to have something in mind and read my profile before actually taalking to me about roleplaying. if you'd like, feel free to send me a random starter! the more unique or out of the box, the better. also, feel free to ask me anything you'd like about aera. i'd be more than happy to explain.

★ writing style. i do multi-para to novella. they're all usually done in 3rd pov. lengthwise, i generally try my best to mirror but i tend to get carried away, especially when my muse is strong so it's not a guarantee.

★ plotting style. i prefer plotting over winging most of the time, but i can wing. because of this, i don't mind doing somewhat vague-ish plots that provide enough detail for you but also gives us enough room to play around with our ideas. i also don't typically approach people unless i have a plot or idea in mind, and i really really appreciate it when people do the same. it saves a lot of time.

★ activity and reply speed. i will never poke you so please do not poke me either. i usually keep track of the replies i owe. i'm usually very slow with my replies, sometimes because of the length, but sometimes because i'm just slow to do them due to classes or it's just not a good day/week for me. we can always drop/pick up our thread(s), but make sure you communicate with me. also know that i might be active in the chat infrequently or a lot. i'm not a very consistent person when it comes to this.

★ overall. i'm very flexible about how we actually rp and will work at your pace if possible. i'm really chill with whatever you wanna do
